      Well, i7-1165g7 is a low wattage 4-core CPU but I’d say it has comparable multi core performance to an i7-7700k. Single core performance would be somewhat better.

      It's a laptop processor compared with a desktop model, so by design doesn't have the power draw of its older cousin.

  It’s a decent entry level laptop non chrome book for office tasks.

  I swear people seem to think there should be a mobile RTX 3090 GPU or something in a laptop under $1,000 AUD in the current market situation?

    Yesterday’s education deal had a laptop with 5600H, RTX3060 mobile and 16gb of ram for $999. Definitely an outlier, but feel like more deals like that will gradually pop up. And that was a low end gaming laptop with worse build quality and a bad screen. Absolutely shreds this laptop on specs though. Two different laptops for different needs, cause unless you’re gaming, you don’t need the crazy specs.

  For Asus and i7. I say it is a good deal. If can upgrade the ram, even better. 8 gb ram wont be enough if you open many browser tabs.

      The RAM is stated as 4Gb on-board and 4Gb So-Dimm, so you can upgrade the So-Dimm.
