Beauty stock close to me in Cannington

    • I think you got the only one left.

      • I await my refund then. Probably haven't updated their stock

        • I hope you got it.

Waiting for Ozito price match … come on Bunnings!

    • would be amazing!

    • Come on Bunnings!

    • That'd be amazing! Has anyone given go?

      • +1

You cannot ask, unless identical product. But if you read OzB you will know that Bunnings frequently matches advertised specials from other hardware shops and ALDI.

        • Ok, then it is at Bunnings discretion. Hope they do a deal as I'm in the market for a hedge Trimmer and would love an Ozito since I'm already in that ecosystem.

  • no stock -_-

My brief foray into battery-powered tools has shown me that 36V is necessary for any choppy devices, and 18v will suffice for blowy and spinny devices.

Lawnmowers and brushcutters benefit greatly from the increased power to the motor, but it might be a bit overkill for inflators, circ saws and drills. If anybody has ever seen a 20V+ battery drill I'd love to see it (240V does not count though)

You probably know this but 20V==18V.

There are 36V drills but they are pretty big/expensive trade tools.

18v hedge trimmers, pole saws and line trimmers are amazing. I cut down 7m+ trees, and clear big vacant weedy blocks..blow my mind. Wizadry (and they are Ozito and Aldi brand). I also have an Ozito and Makita 18v Rotary SDS drill. Both will break your wrist if you aren't careful.

I also have a 2*18v Ozito Brushless chainsaw (that's brilliant) and I agree the 36v is better here.

    • I had a 24v "Disk Smith Electronics" drill about 10 years ago. Does that count?

Thanks. Got one on order for click & collect. Hopefully comes through. Hedges arent big yet so this should hopefully be good enough while they are small. If i need a bigger one I'll get that later. Cheers

  • Gotta trim the bushes to get your car in……

  • This is likely to be garbage. I have a Hitachi trimmer and it's almost useless.

My experience with hedge trimmers has been the cheapies are the best.

Neighbour bought a new Bosch hedge trimmer and it would hardly cut a thing. It was a joke. I went over and cut it for him (I have 240v GMC $30, Black & Decker $15 from Big W, Ryobi (it's the worst of the lot) and a 18v Ozito (which is brilliant and cuts like butter).

The Black and Decker are the heavy hitters. Will happily cut the hedge in half (large distance between teeth) and the Ryobi is more of fine cut. Ozito is purley for mobility.

No idea about the Foolproof battery. Might be limiting factor here. But I think Toolpro and maybe Aldi batteries are compatible.

      • Toolpro and ALDI batteries are definitely not compatible. Toolpro batteries are similar to WORX. They are also very similar to B&D 18v but you'd need an adapter.

  • dang it i spent too much on a makita trimmer. i should have gotten this instead, so much cheaper.
