      Got G50 5G last week and I'm very happy with its battery and screen. I was suprise to find the phone has dual SIM slot. The only issue I found is that this phone doesn't allow user to set the volume of ringtone and notification separately. It could be annoying if you are waiting for an important call but have to be tolerant of notifications from APPs. Considering the money I pay for, I'd say this phone beyond my expectation.

    The G50 5G has the Mediatek Dimensity 700 chip, the G50 has the Qualcomm 480 5G chip (and 3 cameras in a row, not square like the G50 5G)

    Mediatek is not dev-friendly when in terms of releasing their source code to the public. The result? Manufacturer is so slow when releasing Android OS updates and Android security updates. Little to zero custom ROM development. Little to zero GCAM support. Hard to unbrick when the phone firmware gets corrupted. Emulation is also a hit or miss, performance and stability is horrible. Emulator devs are having a hard time optimizing their emulator for Mediatek phones.

    Benchmark scores aren't everything. Go with Snapdragon phones. Get a Xiaomi phone and flash a custom ROM on it to get rid of MIUI bottleneck. Although Mediatek greatly improved on performance, heat efficiency and battery life, the software support is still terrible.

    I just bought $180 of gift cards from Gifts click frenzy promo, and they've given me a card with 16 digits. I use those digits in the cart when I try to purchase the Motorola from JB, but it says the gift card must have 18 digits. Any ideas what to do?

      VISA gift cards have 16 digits, while JB Hi-Fi gift cards have 18 digits. Have you tried using the gift card not as a gift card, but enter it as a Credit card payment method?

        I just read through the gift card terms. I need to use it as a credit card, but the cards value needs to be greater than the purchase price. I think I've buggered up, as I bought a $100 and a $80, and I can't combine them.
