  The strap is a good idea, but the back of my TV cabinet does not seem to have any place to mount that bracket.

    I don't have one of these, so cannot speak first-hand… Are there holes on the back of your TV where you can screw in a wall-bracket? You'd then source screws to fit, then tie the straps to those screws.

    These might suit you better. Just use the VESA mount screw holes.
