I bought this last time, it's a bit of a clunky design, you have to move the back straps to open it.
    Would not buy again.

Good safety feature imo. Can confidently wear it in crowds etc without being pick pocketed

And the chance of that happening in Australia?

    • +2

Agree on the inconvenient but it is a safety feature. I personally got used to it and have been using for the past year with no issue. Personally I think it is a great feature without worrying about pick pocket. Bag itself is pretty slim design, therefore don't expect to fit many bulky stuff in it.

Discounted Price $13.44 including delivery is not bad.

  • We get these from work. From what colleagues have said, the straps usually give out about a year later.

It comes with a 3-year warranty and dell are very good with claims if you can be bothered.

  • This or gaming lite 17 for few bucks extra?

    • I have this bag and it gets the job done, but only has the bare minimum features and is a bit inconvenient to open. The 17 looks a lot more functional, I don't think you'd regret the extra few bucks

  • Got the 17" one, took 5 weeks to arrive.
    Quality is not bad though.

    Thanks OP - got one

Quality is good. But the side bag is small I cannot put a 600ml bottle coke or 335 ml can.

  • got last deal. works well. use this more than my 'proper' exxie one due fact its convenient/light.
straps over laptop zip to prevent pick pocketing… def don't mind at all

  • I bought this and for the price as a backpack it's good. The only gripe as people already mentioned is the zips opening up on the back under the straps. I know it's for security but very annoying trying to put in and take out stuff. It's good for just laptop and a few things. I just bought the dell 17" one on sale because I need a little bigger for work.

  • Thanks OP, just bought one, keen to see how it goes. I know many people are ripping into the zipper under the arms, but understandably this is a security feature.

I'm a motorcyclist, so riding into work aswell as walking from the parking spot to the office i'm wearing my riding gear, with all the layers and the padding i usually can't feel anything happening with my backpack, sometimes i can't even feel if the zipper is wide open and things are falling out (it's happened before). I feel like this bag might resolve this problem

    • I'm using it to ride to work on a motorcycle now. It's pretty decent for the price, the zipper is really annoying though after a while but for $13 it's a steal. It is on the smallish side, as my comment above, I bought the 17" one on sale just to get slightly bigger, gets a bit cramped if you want to put a couple things in.

Yeah I'm a runner and have left a trail of belongings down a footpath not knowing until my bag was light and floppy xD

  • Can anyone recommend a backpack for a 15.6 laptop, and a fair amount of heavy misc electronics and clothes?

I have an older Targus model which has done me well, but I tend to really overload it and the straps/material between them at the top near your neck have worn badly. The newer models all look like they're made from soft foam and no reinforcement, which I presume will last me months at best. Weight is a non-issue for me.

Edit: It's a Targus Citygear TCG650 . Not sure if there are sub-models or sizes or whatever: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0266/0820/5921/products/00…

  • Don't get too excited. I ordered one from the last deal a month ago and still not received it. Delivery is by StarTrack which doesn't help matters.

They also have $10 Briefcases for anyone that prefers to be called a briefcase anker

    • +1

Thanks for the tip. I bought the Dell briefcase for $10.20 postage included..

I am going overseas in July. I like the way the strap of this briefcase fits over the extended handle of a small wheelie bag.

  • Wouldn't bother with this, got it last deal. Would probably get the bigger 17" version as there's barely any space in this one

  • I have had for a year now.
NOT RECOMMENDED better options elsewhere like Typo, Nike, Puma.

Quality seems good but less than basic and userUNfriendly. You will not like after buying.

I even tried returning it as well but Dell didn’t return it as well.

  • I bought the Dell briefcase for $10.20 (postage included). It arrived by air freight from a Malaysian warehouse. It is made in China.

It easily fits a 15.6 " HP 250 G3 notebook, a mouse and power supply. It has a small pocket on the outside.

Though it has briefcase handles, it also has a shoulder strap.

A small strap on the outside of this briefcase fits over the extended handle of my small wheelie bag.

  • Received the briefcase today. No protection at all. Shouldn't be called briefcase, sleeve is more like it.

  • Yeah I decided not to get this, I ended up getting the Kriser 18" and it's like walking around with a packed parachute over your shoulder, it's huge.
Don't walk down a windy alley, the back is so big af acts as a sail.
