Nice one - xbox one series x looking mighty tempting now!

  • spend $750 get $150 from microsoft on mine… targeted?

    • Same

  • love sushi hub, but it’s difficult to spend $25 in one transaction unless you have a big family to feed.
Anyone got ideas how we can achieve this, times four - buy gift cards may be?

    • Agreed, iirc you'd have to do something like the deluxe sashimi set, with maybe a side like edamame.

Bonus Challenge: vegetarian here - no fish, no meat 😂. Misses refuses to even touch the vegetarian ones with a stick. Kids love it, but still hard to meet minimum spend..

        • +1

ah..yeah 25 spend on vegan rolls is going to be pretty damn filling haha

    • Just ask for no rice

You need about $30 of sashimi to be full

    • Refrigerate it for dinner

    • Buy lots of prawn tempura! Brings back my end of week shifts

  • Does anyone know if the AMEX deal can be stacked with Student discount on Microsoft?
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/store/b/student

    • AMEX and student deals are different, AMEX just checks whether you have spent certain amount of dollars, nothing else.
So to answer your question, yes you can stack them :)

  • sushi hub is nice but just fyi they are not japanese, owner probably chinese - all staffs are chinese.
not many japanese running sushi business overseas. for them sushi is sacred food not for served in the conveyer belt or sold in food courts.

ramen shops in sydney run by genuine japanese (owner, staff, waiter, all). but again some run by korean instead of japanese pretend to be japanese (they say welcome in japanese when you come but then talk in korean in the kitchen haha)
and yes it matters, the food quality is different.

      The Japanese sweat is sweeter.

    • +1

There are sushi restaurants using the 'train' conveyor belts in Japan so this sounds fishy….

    • +2

Food quality isn't going to change by the race of the person making it.

      • username checks out

Are people's supplementary cardholders getting recent offers 8n he last 2 months? Mine are no longer getting offers. Might look at cancelling sups if they are no longer going to receive any more Amex offers.

    • +1

No more love for supp card

      • +1

So should just cancel sup cards then. Strange that Amex has been running campaign to sign up sups for $50 bonus! Not sure what they are doing….

    • +1

Yes, look like Amex is no longer giving out offer for sup cards…

  • is this targeted? can't see in my app

    • Me either, but I have a similar offer from Sony

  • +2

Time to cancel my AMEX, no Sony, Microsoft any other great deals at all…

    • Same here, I only get the deals I'm never likely to actually use.

  • willw e get offer if applied for card now
    ? ?

  • I accidentally paid through PayPal last week with my directly linked Amex that had this offer saved. Didn’t get credited so just followed up. Ticked all the condition boxes other than “paid through a third party” because I didn’t know I couldn’t. Didn’t read every line of the fine print, fine, my fault.

I’ve just told them I’d cancel the card - they didn’t care on chat lol. Has anyone ever had any luck if this happened to them - I.e used PayPal or Apple Pay with the offer saved to their Amex and been refused the credit?

    • Apple Pay will get you the credit. PayPal won’t; same with Afterpay. You were rightfully denied the credit for using PayPal.

  • Havent got thr credit for sushi hub…
    Hmm weird.

    Puchase date 29 may 2022
