Relax. Stop phreaking out
There is a 75" inch version (Non OLED) on sale at Harveys for the same price as this if you just like the lighting feature.

Cheers, I've seen there current LCDs and they are quite disappointing compared to OLED sadly
HDMI 2.1? 4K120HZ?
No
Same price at Harvey Norman it seems, https://www.harveynorman.com.au/philips-55-inch-805-series-4…
How about bing lee
They don't sell Philips TV's
And same price at Domayne…should read the review on there. I wouldn’t suggest anyone get this over an LG or Sony on sale.

Domayne is Harvey norman, just like The Good Guys is JB.
Unfortunately its been months since a 55" OLED has been close to this price - the last being LG A1 at $1695 last October, which is hampered significantly compared to LG C series.
Definitely would buy an LG, Sony or Samsung on sale if they were anywhere near the same price, but sadly that doesn't seem to be happening these days
A friend who works at Phillips says they have sold their TV division to some other company and get royalty from them for using the name.
That is correct, I believe it's owned by AOCs parent company TPV.
Warranty claims sucks with Phillips, I got a screen with so much ghosting it's unusable.
Called the Philips warranty line but it went to a 3rd party company it seemed, the tech said Phillips won't approve the claim.
The email support is terrible weeks between communication and ticket has been open for over 6 months now.
Really? I thought the exact opposite. I bought a Philips 4k 40" monitor, one of the first large format 4k screens and it had an issue when resuming from sleep, in that it didn't. After using it for 9 months, I had enough of the issue and contacted Philips. Apparently there was a firmware update to fix the issue. They came and collected it, about a week later, said that the update had failed and that they're going to issue me a full refund. I got a full refund from the store I bought it from. I then bought a similar monitor for half the price.
Does anyone know how it’s compared to LG C1?
805 is 2020 model, and C1 is 2021 model
Speaking of the colours and picture quality do you have idea?
I'd like to know too - from an image/processing POV
I remember when i bought a Phillips plasma 50inch with Ambilight. I bought it second hand back in the early 2000s the guy who bought it brand new had spend $12k on it. I had never heard of Ambilight till i got that TV and man IT WAS amazing. Such a great feature especially if you like watching TV in the dark / in a light controlled room.
Excellent bang for buck.

Yeah not the same unfortunately
I contacted Philips last week to ask when the 2021 OLED model would be available here. Soon apparently.
No dice for the 2022 models.
I freaking love ambilight.
If only they made a 75 inch version.
