Good price for DDR5. But mind you its CAS 40.

probably better off getting a DDR4 board and getting decent DDR4 ram instead of this, tbh. but might be a good cheap option for AM5 when it comes out (assuming AMD doesn't offer any DDR4 options with that).

If you see 4 chips on ANY stick of ram its not worth buying. They are slow.

    • There's not much to say about the Crucial DDR5-4800's performance. Predictably, the memory couldn't hang with its overclocked rivals. However, the margins weren't significant. For example, the Kingston Fury Beast DDR5-5200 C40 was only 3.7% faster than the Crucial DDR5-4800 C40. On the other hand, the G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB DDR5-6000 C36, which we consider one of the best DDR5 memory kits on the market, was 7.3% faster than the Crucial memory kit.

      • Compare this review to the DDR5 vs DDR4 tests - it loses out to DDR4-2133 at some point lol.

        • Sure, if I was getting 12th gen right now I'd get DDR4.
This is still a good deal if someone needs some 5 some reason.

    • Things that apply to DDR4 may not apply to DDR5

  • Ddr4 is fine. Also ddr5 mobos are +$300. Will purchase a year from now.

  • Any deals on DDR4?

Better off with ddr4 than cheapest ddr5 for now.
You wouldn't notice the difference in performance anyway.

Same thing happens with every ram generation, it gives more room to expand but it’s a long time before it’s value for money due to supply and demand.
