    Nice.

  • Wonder if they cover me on my rec reg dirt bike out in the state forest…

    • Nope, says in T&Cs about state forest. It also wont cover any Enduro KTMs or Husqvarnas and basically dirt bikes.

So really the only time this could be useful, it doesnt even cover, useless.

      • Even on a gazetted road?

At their discretion was the rough wording

  • Key Lock Outs

Never heard of a motorcyclist locking the key in the mini "luggage" compartment.

    • With a keyless remote this could easily be done.

    • +2

You could if you're on a scooter… Underseat can be locked by closing it.. and then you wouldn't be able to get in without a key ..

      • I did this in remote Thailand once, was that moment when you close the lid and instantly know the key was sitting in there. I ended up somehow breaking the ignition lock or seat lock with a stick if I remember correctly

    Great deal, signed up.

As the owner of an older Italian motorcycle, this will pay for itself very quickly. Thanks OP.

I am confused as to why anyone would do this, personally.
I mean your bike will come with tools in it for these moments?

    • You come back from an extended overseas trip to find your bike battery dead.

You run out of fuel, a long way from a petrol station.

The battery on your remote key fob dies whilst away from home and you can't start the bike.

You put on your disc alarm and realise you left the key at home.

How would "tools" help these situations?

BTW I've since got solutions in place to deal with the last two - you learn from your mistakes!

        1.Trickle charge
        2. Fuel gauge? My bike doesnt even have one and never had this issue on loooong rides. You will need to pay for the fuel on this and it is 50km max
        3. What bikes have a key fob? I have ridden some modern superbikes and havent seen one, all chipped keys.
        4. Something like that, stick the spare in your wallet? Or in your bike where the tools are?

A bit of pre planning goes a long way.

Find me a tow truck driver with unlimited kms for less than $69.

          I'll wait…

          • -3

@KangaDrew: I get that part, but the only time in my life I have needed a tow truck for a bike was after an accident. And then you have insurance that covers that…

What bikes are you lot riding that needs a tow truck subscription basically? I am not trying to sound like a "hater" either, just genuinely curious because I personally dont see much benefit in this, unless of course I went on interstate trips, A LOT.

            • +1

@JMxoxo: Mostly the monthly rider with carburettor, which acts up at times.

          • @KangaDrew: But what is "Nearest Authorised Licensed Repairer"? Doesn't sound like they would take it to your mechanic of choice.

        • -7

Jmxoxo you make valid points. However this deal is targeted for females and effeminate males.

      • +3

I've been unfortunate to have had a flat tyre 3 times and needed a tow to the repairer. That in itself paid for the membership.

      Bikes break down.
Bikes get flat tyres. Mine has tubed tyres, no way Im fixing that on the road.

Try running over a nail or screw like I did on the other side of the Hawkesbury river and waiting an entire day for a pickup truck that won’t take you as a passenger thanks to covid and also charge you towing over 100kms. I had to call a mate to come and pick me up later on in the day. Makes you afraid to take your bike somewhere even slightly remote

      • I always carry a compressor and puncture kit - only needed it once for me thus far (crosses fingers!), but I've needed it 3 times for mate's bikes when we've been interstate.

  • Anyone know a good place to service your bike in Sydney?

    • Can’t say I have a reference point to know what is good but I used to go to MotoCiclo in St Peters

    • Where in Sydney you located?

    • after several different places I settled with mobile (works at your place) mechanic fatcrank, might try that

  • Has anyone used these guys before? Just wondering how good they are like how long was the wait?

    • Probably quite a long wait if you're out riding interesting roads I imagine.

    • I meant in metro areas.

  • Nice
