its not free though you have to pay for it.

    • yes. IMO, free ones mostly ends up in collection & eating dust :D
Paid ones might help to stop procrastination & you actually spend time to watch & learn ;)

      • Probably we will need on udemy course "how to stop procrastination"….

  • Surprisingly Python is behind some of the most well known websites.

  • Do any of Jose Portilla's courses ever go on sale (Python or other)? His courses are fantastic so am patiently waiting

  • Whoa! on-demand

  • Anyone ever actually get a job or something after doing these online courses lol

I'm a hiring manager in a data analytics team and mentally deduct points from people who promote their Udemy courses.

      • u guys hiring?

      • keen to hear why this is your thought process?

        • Seen too many examples of people with a bunch of "graduated with distinction" Udemy certificates who can't do basic tasks.

I much prefer a personal portfolio of data science work such as GitHub repos of exploratory analysis or a Streamlit app.

          • @lordrupertliverpool: The latter is always a better option. But some of the best devs i know are self taught/ongoing training through platforms like udemy or similar.

      • You mean people who have udemy courses there?

I may understand flaunting completing an udemy course might be weird. But if you really have a successful course there as you the trainer that sounds good tbh

  • I would have thought hands-on python training from a university professor would raise a few eyebrows, among other things.

Thought by a Professor of Harvard. And it's free too.

  • You can learn more from a computer nerd than a professor.
