Pretty decent price for a high-capacity multiport GaN Charger. $129.99, with an additional coupon for $20 off. Coupon is applied in checkout. I don't think that it's targeted: you just click on "clip" and it adds it automatically when you checkout. Comes with a typical AU to folded US power plug, plus an bonus long AU cable for desk use. Claims on the page to be SAA-Certified, but I don't see an actual certificate so, you know, grain of salt; I've had bad experiences with other Aliexpress-style OEM chargers from other brands, but Heymix seems to be more legitimate or at least better reviewed. I'm sure some of you will have experience; I wouldn't mind hearing what you think of the brand.

My Chinese friend saw this and said “GaN! Why is it so expensive?”

    • Tell your friend it is due to aussie tax.

    • 告诉你的朋友这是由于澳洲税

Heymix is a solid brand for theses chargers - in my experience, at least.

  • +2

Already out of stock! Makes you wonder how many they had for sale anyway.

    • +1

Damn, I'm glad I decided to checkout before posting 😅

Not related to Heymix, but I got the Zyron 65W Gan3 and the 100WBaseus Gan3 pro and I liked the Zyron one better. The Baseus felt like a beta testing product. Voltage drops to 18.7V for a 20V rail, I have to connect my P30 Pro twice or thrice for it to recogzine fast charging protocol etc. And the plug is inverted.

    • +1

the inverted plug is because the Chinese standard socket is the same as Australia, except upside down (as in ground pin is on top)

      • Ya, I know, but its a pain for us anyway.

    • Inverter plug is China plug i think. Strange that you have to plug it in twice , I know it resets a couple of times so you have to wait 7-8 seconds, this is described in the marketing materials

      • It works like a charm for my Xiaomi and Samsung, but for the P30 Pro, the protocol gets recognized only on USB A and I have to connect it twice or thrice. Even leaving it for 15 secs didnt do anything.

No such issues on Zyron and works on USB C as well.

        • Strange thought Huawei standard was on USB a only but hey. Yeah strange. I have a Heymix Powerboard and it works first time yet Baseus 100W GAn needs the recognition

    • Zyron 65W Gan3

Is it the same model from this deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/683637 ?

      • +1

        Yes.

I did buy the same for $79.99 AUD from their Amazon store last October. I did use it during a long trip and some shorter ones, working fine, charging my notebook (it needs 65W) and also charges my mobiles, etc same time. Not sure for how long it will work, but at least survived some trips :)

    • What really scares me is taking chargers like these on a trip, If this fails, you cant charge any of your devices as you will be carrying only one.

      • You are totally right, for the same reason, I always have my HP USB-C travel charger(it also has one USB-A on it) in my notebook bag

      • I once did an oopsie and left my laptop charging cable in Australia when travelling to some remote place. Had to find a Didi to the nearest service centre for Asus and get a local charging cable, that was a few hundred dollar oopsie altogether. At least with USB-C products/chargers now, you can go into almost any store and pick one up.

    Back in stock.

  • So this or Zyron? Seems like it's between x2 Type A vs x3 Type C?

  • Looks like back in stock, just bought one. Been waiting to upgrade to this since I've had such good experience with 2x 65W ones that have been used around the house and on trips for a long time.

Three pack of HEYMIX 20W all died on me over the course of three months after I received them. Not sure I’ll ever bother giving them another shot.

    Just my experience, YMMV.

  • I wonder if this one is better than the top one…just $69 after all discount

    https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B09P6BQ9V4/

  • The save $25 coupon literally expired as I was trying to add it to cart :(

    • It looks like there's a $20 coupon on it now, so five dollars more expensive but still decent value.

      • oh weird, when I checked before there was only 50% off heymix adapter if bought with the GaN charger. The adapters were $20 down to $10, so saving wasn't great and I didn't get one.

        • Yeah, I dunno what's going on with the discounts
