In My Father's Work, 2-4 players play competing mad scientists entrusted with a page from their father's journal, along with a large estate in which to perform their devious experiments. Players earn points by completing Experiments, aiding the Town in its endeavors, and hopefully completing their Father's Work in this app-driven branching-narrative game.
I backed this game on Kickstarter 12 months ago for US$99 + US$23 delivery which works out around A$173
Now Goldfields has it on Presale for roughly $158 delivered which I think is a great price (maybe cheaper if you live local). So if you missed backing it during the Kickstarter, you might want to grab it while you can. It still hasn’t delivered but should be arriving soon.
The game components alone look amazing but the game does use an app, so if you don’t like using an app to play a board game, you might want to move along. If you’re interested but haven’t heard of the game, look it up on Kickstarter and go thru the many updates to see how the game evolved.
Looks interesting. Trailer here: https://youtu.be/6MVV8ALYU0I
