After visiting HN I'nm not convinced that these are exactly bargains. I've seen cheaper online stores with similar machines.
There has to be a retail chain that sells what HN sells and can be price matched! I doubt those laptops are only restricted at HN.
Was more tempted with the 30% off Toshiba Satellite Pro C655 series
At MSY until 13/5

Went to Auburn store, not worth the time, there is no bargain to be found in store, all RRP are way too high, for example, HP Pavilion DV6-6B00AX has RRP of $1600, after 50% discount, you are still need to pay $800.
Just to give a head up.
went to ringwood and got the dv6-6c04ax for $750 (8gb ram, A8-3550MX 2.0ghz, ATI 7690M (basically a rebranded 6750M)) laptop has a blu-ray player as a bonus. also went to qv store earlier and all the other laptops weren't really a good buy
if i havent done my research properly (ie comparing those processors to their intel equivalent), I would bang my head against the wall (for sure)….
will definitely find better deals else where.. i would get an intel machine if i have to pay those prices… just a lil extra…
dont know if this is much of a special, went to Dandenong HN and picked up a Asus U36S i7 notebook for $849
20000 laptops in stock is alot of laptops!!
New AMD CPUs must be coming out. Currently the top of the line A8 is bested by the lowest end dual core i3 in performance and power consumption.
