  • FYI I have no idea why the T&Cs show 14 x VIC, 1 x TAS and 1 x NSW Gold Class cinema in their valid list. I am from VIC so not sure if that email was targeted to my location or if the number of Gold Class cinemas is really like that nationally. Let me know if it is wider than that and I'll update the post.
^Valid at Village Cinemas VIC: Bendigo, Century City Walk, Crown, Doncaster, Fountain Gate, Geelong, Jam Factory, Karingal, Knox, Plenty Valley, Rivoli, Southland, Sunshine, Werribee, TAS: Hobart or NSW: Albury.

  • Village Gold Class Tickets $30 Each

    How much are they normally?

I just looked at a movie near me for today and they are showing $35 for a normally adult ticket…

    • I thought they were normally $42 each unless they are for those more restrictive/crappier times.
EDIT: Yes, I just checked and tried to get a sat night Downton Abby movie and it was showing up as $42 for me.

      • +1

unless they are for those more restrictive/crappier times.

I wasn't aware they did variable pricing for Gold Class… thanks…

      • I just double checked, it is $35 for Vrewards members and $45 for non-members

        • Wow, what state are you in?

          • +4

Wow, what state are you in?

            Excitement !!!

            • @jv: My Sat night Crown (VIC) gold class session for 6.30pm Downton Abbey was $42 for "Vrewards Gold Class" and $45 for "Gold Class Ticket".

              • @danielh: day sessions are showing $35 for me…

                • +1

@jv: Pretty good to get day sessions for that price normally. I assume only weekday though. What are your prices for the 'prime time' slots like 6.30pm Sat night sort of times?

                  • @danielh:

Yep, looks like $42 on Sat

    Fantastic Beasts:

    Oooops…

I misread that and almost got tickets.

  • 45 day wait periods for movies to hit streaming and a decent TV have ruined gold class for me. I can see why they need to push more discounts to get people back into the cinemas.

With two Marvel movies, Jurassic World and a Pixar movie in the next couple of months you'd think they'd have restrictions out the wazoo on these tickets.

    • Yeah, and even then I see movies like The Bad Guys already out.
I'm probably going to get a few for the main Marvel type movies with the wife but I've developed a patience now for the streaming option (plus the issues around COVID). It's a tough call.

  • FYI if you're with Westpac you can get these for $33 through their neatideas rewards thing. More expensive than this deal but available year round.

    • And $30 with nib, $25 off peak
