[Auto Club] Mechpro Blue Low Profile Trolley Jack - 1700kg $91.50 + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ Repco

50

This seems a decent deal not the best possible. But a decent one for low profile jack, I'd personally wait for like $50 price tag but may be that's impossible considering inflation etc.

SCA one is a little cheaper but i don't know that 1600 Kg one seems like not that much low profile like this one (from the photos)

By the way with Autoclub membership, have never really been asked to present card, so essentially you can put random numbers on website and if that's a valid number you get discounted price, for no cost.

Good alternative to both the jacks mentioned is the Stanley jack at Bunnings. 1600kg, 381mm lift and $73.50 everyday price. https://www.bunnings.com.au/stanley-1600kg-floor-jack_p01288…

Regardless if it is a $69.95 or a $695.95 jack, I would never trust them and always use a backup/stand. So the moral of the story is buy both jack and stands on a discount.

A jack is never meant to replace using jack stands.
And even then, I wouldn’t want to 100% trust jack stands. That’s why you’ll see a lot of people put one of their wheels/tyres under the edge of the car even with jack stands. A last ditch effort to save their legs if something goes wrong.

        Agree 💯
        However my point is redundancy
