Prices seem to jump around a lot for these, but if you need one today, I think this is the best deal for a Deco X20 3 Pack at the moment. Most other sites are $376 (Amazon, etc). Make sure you use the TPL22 code to get the discounted price. Currently in stock.

Thanks for the extra info, that's really helpful.
It would be interesting to know why the CPU has changed. There are a number of reasons why they might have changed the processor, it's not just about making more money (though that will be part of the story). In product development things get changed because of reliability isues, overheating/thermal mgmt, availabilty, power consumption, regulatory issues etc.
Agree. Yes there were some reports of overheating issues with v2. For most people the issue with v4 is it's advertised with Anti-Virus, but it's no longer free, requires a paid monthly subscription,
As an update to this, I just received mine and it's a V2.0
Thanks for this. After spending too long reviewing every option, I kept coming back to these units as being the best value for money, especially if you have gigabit LAN wired around your house. The Deco x55 is probably a better option when it's on special for $399, but given the majority of Australia has <200MBit NBN, I don't think anyone would be able to tell the difference in download speeds
Deco x55 looks better on paper supporting AX3000, however I would be more confident that in real-world use this unit would be just as good.
If you can not use wired backhaul,, then the x60 would be a decent step-up as it includes the dedicated wireless backhaul channel.
Not all mesh are equal, the most essential feature is ensuring they will connect you to the closest node.
Just price matched at O/W for ~$305 over the phone :)
Wow that is an exceptional price for the 3-pack
How? They match eBay?
This is directly on the wireless1 website and not ebay
They don’t match CODE just confirmed
@Kawaii: Damn, thats unlucky :(
What is excluded from the Price Beat Guarantee?
Cashback and coupon offers (i.e. supplier cashback or reduced price available via paper coupon or electronic codeword)Good price, but are they going to post it to you for that price?
Yup!
Share receipt please
The m5 is an excellent budget pick for $254 (with the code) for anyone not requiring WiFi6. It's a fast\reliable unit.
https://www.wireless1.com.au/tp-link-deco-m5-whole-home-mesh…Yes, especially given it also has Bluetooth and arguably a nicer design. It's not in stock though…
It's available to backorder at this price though, may suite some.
Has the HomeShield/Avira reporting issue been resolved yet?
https://old.reddit.com/r/hardware/comments/tbthjj/psa_newer_…These have homecare rather than homeshield so they don't seem to have the same reported issue.
So they are the older model, assume v2? I believe they will be v4, most retailers have not had the older models for a while, but could be why these are discounted to clear the old model.
have these, they work great
Yes, 90% of the TCP packets shoudn't see the processor, but here is a comparison between versions.
Most retailers specify v2 stats but you will likely receive v4. Key difference is you won't get the free anti-virus that was included with HomeCare.
Version
v1 Free HomeCare & 1.0 Ghz Quad Core CPU
v1.2 Free HomeCare & 1.0 Ghz Dual Core CPU
v2 Free HomeCare & 1.5 Ghz Quad Core CPU
v4 Paid HomeShield & 1.0 Ghz Dual Core CPU
PS: These are good units, they support WiFi6 wired backhaul.
You can disable\enable the different bands for Guest and Main networks, with the option of not isolating guest.
If you don't need guest, this allows you to have separate SSIDs for each band.
You can disable mesh per device.
Find this more compatible with devices, meaning client will likely connect to the closest node.
