    Display size is measured diagonally.

    Why?

    • +1

Looks longer diagonally (10.2 inch) - aka cheating.

    • Can I use it to measure human appendages?
      just asking

      • You need iPad Pro 12.9" to measure yours.

        • or iPad mini

        Oh no !!!!!!!

    • Why not?

If I had to guess: it's a simple enough number to communicate easily to people for comparison while at the same time accurately indicating differences in total screen area.

      Also, convention.

      • Why not?

        L x W x H is more useful…

        • L x W x H is more useful…

          To who.

It's more descriptive. Do you believe the average consumer is going to look at marketing material and get out a calculator or a pencil & paper to compare total screen area of devices that aren't even necessarily the same aspect ratio?

It's not more useful to people marketing display devices in consumer electronics to list 3 dimensions.

@lychnis: We know diagonal measurement can be cheated based on the aspect ratio, 16:10, 16:9. We used to have 4:3 display, then 16:10 and 16:9.

L x W x H is better. However, we know jv is just mucking around.

    Showing 101,420 Points for me

    • you have log in

  • 100k qff points = 200k ww rewards points( $1000) better value to bank and buy an iPad from big w.

    • I didn't know that. Nice

      • +1

It only makes sense to convert WW rewards points to QFF points if you want to redeem flight rewards.

  • -2

@ 1.3cpp you want us to spend $1,318 worth of points on this? o_O

    • No doubt plenty of points are burnt on the qff store 0.05-0.07 seems to be their valuation.

Anything outside of that is subjective depending on the value you place on flight redemptions and upgrades.

    • +1

given most sales in the marketplace tend to be 0.8-1c per point, it is still a high cost.

better to sell points another ozbargainer, and purchase ipad from other sources and keep the rest to get eneloops and Samsung tablets

      • -1

        Exactly.
Clueless above has nfi what points are worth. What a waste

      • with points club plus this works out to be about 0.8c per point which seems fine?
