Hi, Im a rare poster, so plz be kind.. Ive been looking for a washer with a good warranty found this at Winnings at Brighton. I believe they have other locations around Australia… Harvey Norman wouldnt price match as they stated it was too below retail price...JB hifi wouldnt look at it either as they have no stock within 100km….Most other places are selling at lowest around $1570 or so…. You can extend the 2 year warranty till 31 August at fisher and paykel for a further 3 years (for certain models including this one)

  Good price for this particular model. If all you're after is the 5yr warranty and don't care about the wifi smarts this model has, the next model down in the 11kg lineup (W1160S1) is also eligible for the 5yr warranty and is available for $1414 delivered from here. That model is also sold at JB hi-fi, Good Guys, Harvey Norman etc so should be able to price match.

  Main difference between the models seems to be the number of available cycles and lack of wifi connectivity.

      I'm hoping the"smart diagnostics" will give me better interpretation of error codes if and when they occur.

      App also seemed easier to operate than dials and buttons on machine. My partner usually does the laundry and I was always bewildered by the panel

  I was recently after a washing machine.
  Although I consider it as just a guide, partner prefers recommendations from Choice. Ended up getting the LG 12KG for ~$1100 Fromm TGG commercial. Paid an extra $195 for the 5Yr concierge warranty

    Good to know that the 5yr concierge warranty is also available with TGG Commercial. I always thought buying from Commercial does not give me extended warranty and is available for residential use only. Some of my friends had issues with stuff they bought for home use with their Bunnings PowerPass.

      I bought the washing machine through TGG Commercial then called up the store it was being delivered from to pay for Concierge separately.

      I was told that it would only be applicable if I paid prior to delivery of item

      Usually manufacturers provide 2 yrs warranty as a standard. With concierge you can extend it up to 5yrs at a cost. I know some people have used ACL and managed to get support/repair outside of the standard 2 yr warranty period. Depends on how much effort you want to put in after the standard warranty expires and if you have the patience to wait for the outcome of a process which could be lengthy at times. Each to their own i guess.

      You also receive 3x $20 vouchers per year the item is under concierge.

      Just make sure you associate it with a mobile phone number to receive the credits.

      Yes it can make you spend more money with them, but if they are relatively close by it's a good way to get free stuff. ie kitchen utensils, USB drive, sd card storage, Soda stream refills to name a few.
