  • better to go with the sandisk option. Corsair has had issues in the past

    • Those issues have been resolved now :) This is better performing than the sandisk

      • How so?

        From the other thread:

        http://hexus.net/tech/reviews/storage/36529-sandisk-extreme-…

from page 4, although pages 3-6 show different comparisons of the drives:

Going through just a few of the permutations, a 120GB Corsair Force Series 3 armed with 16 asynchronous NAND memory chips struggles to keep up with some of the premium SandForce solutions

The Corsair Force Series 3 only outperforms in the PCMark tests, none of the other benchmarks.

Using a Mac is such a wholesome and seamless computing experience. I couldn't recommend it more. The price is a little high, I can appreciate that, but why not pay a little extra for quality computing parts that eclipse other non-Mac competition?

        • Wow…

        • +4

          wholesome and seamless ….

sounds like a wonderbread .. lol..

        • QW3RTY, Seriously are you in sales / marketing by any chance?

    • Well its bigger :)

Yep I think yours is better.
I bought the Mac Pro Ram upgrade, it cost be $400 to go from 8GB to 16GB. The Chips have little apples on them. Worth it IMO.

        lol

      • The sales rep said the same thing. Apples make everything go faster. +1

I'm not in Marketing, no. I hope you don't see me as being insincere. I really find that life works better on Mac. Mac promotes clarity and simplicity. With simplicity comes understanding. With understanding comes progress. With progress comes greatness. Apple truly is the future.

      • +2

With understanding comes world peace. With world peace comes world domination. Apple truly is our saviour and messiah.

Fixed. As an Apple cult member, you should do better to remember our daily mantra's.

      • I think youve been having too many BRAINWASHING SHOTS at the Genius Bar

Have decided you guys deserve better. Lets have a better sale. $136. Bargain!

    • With free delivery?

      • $5 shipping

  • From my observations there's a lot of interest in Intel 520 (120GB) SSD's

Do you still sell them? Any left from the previous sale?

      • +2

just fyi, these "deals" only get done when the importer/distributors give us deals. So until that happens, not really any bargains happen. Although you should know that most of the places of static ice are literally making $0-2 on alot of items.

        • That's a bloody tough business to be in ,
I can't imagine the kind of return you'd get after returns, labour and other costs..

        • +3

yea, all about turn over. Which makes little guys like me impossible to compete. I just like giving them some grief everynow and then ;)

  • how much for a intel 520 240gb ??

    • NA sorry.

  • Where is the stock from? If something happens and you're not around can we go back to the distributor? I'm keen to try, just want to know a bit more as you're new (best of luck with the biz tho).

    • ive been around for 6 years. Check my ABN. Only just opened shop front however. Yes you can go back to distributor, ill let you know once purchase is made.
