  • What's the bargain/discount here OP? Camels weren't helpful.

    • A quick google will show you the going price on this model.

I use a knife for heaps of things and can categorically say I have never used one as a weapon.

    • +2

So is a hammer, shut Bunnings down.

      • Don't you get a better weapon/$ ratio with a cheap set of screwdrivers?

Not to condone the usage but this is OzBargain after all…

      So are cars and trucks.

I see your point in theory. In practice, we love your knives here on ozbargain. Lived most of my life with dull kitchen knives. Ozbargain showed me the error of my ways. Plenty of those things we use to cook our food each evening would do as much damage or more than this item.

    • +2

Kitchen knives are more dangerous than those.

    • Lol

    • The point you're missing here is consequence. Yes it's a risk some crazy person attacks people, but the consequence is one fatality, maybe two. They also have a solid practical use.

Guns however have a much, much higher consequence, with less practical use.

    • So are your hands and arms. Chop them off.

    Will this get through customs?

    Looks like 1 hand opening.

    • +1

yes this is sold through amazon so its safe. australian retailers have it for sale locally as well.

    • +1

One hand opening have been fine to import for years now.

Thanks. I wasn't up to speed on current rules but remember a time when they were being stopped.

  • This is an awesome deal. I have 2 of these but originally purchased for around $80 each.

These are a great alternative to Spyderco's as we use them for climbing and arborist work. Things to note is that they can come stiff out of the box, so I recommend lubing them with a bit of Tufglide or Ballistol. Picked up a few more as the new staff have a tendency to lose knives.
