Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion is a more approachable prequel to the much lauded Gloomhaven. Rated 5th and 1st best board games of all time respectively, according to BoardGameGeek. If you are aware of the site you know that is some high praise.

It plays 1-4 players, and is a campaign dungeon crawler. I'd say it plays well at any player count, especially two players. You can even play solo. Created as a much gentler introduction to the mechanics of the original Gloomhaven, which is a mammoth of a game, both figuratively and literally. Gloomhaven is somewhat daunting because of its physical size, price and complexity. This game managed to streamline it all without sacrificing quality. You basically get all the fun and challenge of the original, without the exhaustive setup and tear down.
I personally highly recommend this game. It's great as a couples game. You don't need to have played Gloomhaven to try this.
Price is very good here. It's normally ~$80. Not sure on stock numbers or how long the price will stay at this point.
Get in while the getting is good.
