APU: Is there a chance the track could bend?

Not on your life, my Hindu friend!

  • any chance of sale on Gen 3 ?

  • How do these compare to the ones that cost hundreds of $? They're both just slabs of plastic right?

    • widths , lengths are different

Nah. I've had both and wouldn't rely on the cheaper stuff.

MaxTrax stack flush, are lighter and are made of a stronger rubber. They don't warp and take a beating just fine while the cheaper stuff snaps pretty easily.

Dont think you have had both then, Maxtrax are way heavier than X-Bull. And Maxtrax have a slightly softer compound not harder. This allows them to flex more but also easier to burn teeth off with wheel spin.

I'd actually recommend a beginner and/or someone who doesnt do a lot of breach/offroad work to just get the XBull. But do note these are Gen 2 XBull's and are not as good as the Gen 3.

The main huge advantage of Maxtrax is all the mounting options available like the Kaon stealth mounts.

Credit to ohpee on the last xbull deal who posted this link (if you want to see somebody put these to the test in comparison with maxtrax): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xkI2qPsa96I

        • Tldr: xbull pretty good for occasional/amateurs. Not as good as maxtrax (stacking, less flexible, longevity, possibly UV resistance, from comments may break in cold weather more readily) but way cheaper.

    • Jump on youtube, plenty of comparisons.
