Thanks - I guess the free delivery honeymoon is over!
It never was free delivery, the cost of delivery was incorporated in the price, just happens they aren't doing that now.
The version with Heatsink is $427.43 here:

What's the go with the heatsinks I get when I buy an enclosure. eg I have a Ugreen M2 enclosure with a Sammie 970 in it, that came with a heat sink that looks like 1/2 the foreskin of a horse , do these "work" ? are the ones WD or Sammie make so much better ?
They're for people buying one for a PS5, which doesn't have a built-in heatsink over the expansion slot like an enclosure, laptop or Gen4 motherboard would typically have.
Heatsinks aren't necessary for Gen3 SSDs like a 970 Evo Plus, Gen4 SSDs run much hotter which is why factory heatsinks are more common on Gen4 SSDs.
You won't be able to double up by using an SSD with a heatsink in an enclosure that also acts as a heatsink, wouldn't fit.
Thanks, the enclosure I have had the heat sink wrapped in a plastic as an optional install. but it looks like a rectangle of flexible, tacky silicone (a few mm thick) you cut to size. I wondered at its effectiveness if I did get this HDD sans heat sink, or whether the factory heat sinks are significantly better ? My use is only in an external enclosure for storage for photo an video for editing. I also have the 1TB version of the one linked in the OP in an enclosure with the heatsink that came with the enclosure rather than a factory heatsink.
@ruprectaus: SSD heatsinks seems to be more of a fad than anything. SSDs do get hot, but they're rated for that heat and good airflow will keep it from overheating.
Most heatsinks do help keep the temp down though. But some are badly designed (think giant chunk of metal), and don't cool off fast enough. So the SSD ends up cooking. On some motherboards your SSDs are cooler by leaving the motherboard heatsinks off.
For an external enclosure with a PCI-E 4.0 SSD, I'd try to get something with a fan in it. A small heatsink will probably help as well, but avoid giant ones.
yep this is a good price.
Put os and games on it? Didn’t think games needed so much speed?
Question:Is it compatible with Sony Playstation 5?
Answer:Yes, this is compatible with the PS5's internal M.2 NVME slot. You would just need to buy a 3rd party heatsink for this particular version.

Given it is an SSD I believe the ps5 would be able to connect, however some form of an adapter would be required, of which I am not certain on what brand or type. I would recommend general external harddrives suited for consoles, this form of SSD is primarily designed for more advanced machines. Hope this helps
