Nah. Glass bottle > can > 600ml plastic bottle > 1.25l plastic bottle
The can has a layer of plastic coating inside.
@[Deactivated]: Has nothing to do with the coating had to with how they last/carbonation
@Jofzar: lol, i thought he was worried about getting cancer.
What makes the 600 mL bottle better than the 1.25L?
@Mondorock: 1.25 goes flat before one person should finish it.
@WhyAmICommenting: Shouldn't it then go 390ml > 600ml ?
@Mondorock: Dunno, maybe it’s not enough for them. I love the 300ml bottles because I don’t have to drink it all at once.
with the negative media on sugar drinks and health issues i would have thought offering a no sugar option would be the default and same price.
my local kfc now serves pepsi max instead of regular pepsi by default …..so you need to ask for the sugar version …..
if maccas defaulted to no sugar versions of drinks they could lower the calorie count of their advertised meals because the count is based on regular coke nor duet or zero …… one the marketing dept seems to have missed.
Wonder if it’s a deal they have with Coke to lead with the regular version? Or maybe change just takes a long time. Does seem silly. At the core Coke is a very pro sugar company, they spend millions advocating and defending sugar consumption. Zero/no sugar is a defensive product for coke, Pepsi has been leading with Pepsi Max for a long time.
That anyone, except maybe elite athletes during competition, continues to drink full sugar coke in large quantities blows my mind.
Probably cause post mix no sugar tastes like balls (vs can/bottle which actually tastes like normal coke to me) vs Pepsi max which is quite acceptable.
Defaulting to no sugar is an insult. Not only does it taste horrendous, but the artificial sweeteners used in them are known carcinogens.
Diabetes and the sequelae of obesity are actually in orders of magnitude more of a health burden than any weighted cancer risk due to consumption of artificial sweeteners.
$1.68 per litre for the 30 can pack at Coles (obviously not including delivery) versus $1.85.
Under $1.70 a litre definitely my benchmark for buying
It’s showing 1.85/L for the 30 pack from Coles for me?
Unless it’s due to the no CDS (Container Deposit Scheme)
Link above is to a VIC store. Here is a screenshot
I don't think Coles prices assume 10c per can refund.
Yup VIC is cheaper because of the no CDS
@BargainsGrabber: Ok. TIL. Cheers
Showing $1.68/L in QLD at Coles. Bought some yesterday.
Showing $1.85/L in Brisbane Coles.
Hasn't been this price in over 6 months according to camelsX3. Good post by OP. And those lower prices over 6 months ago, I doubt we'll see anytime soon the way inflation has been.
Have you been under a rock the last few months? Prices of most soft drinks and many other things has risen meaning it's highly unlikely we will ever see those prices again.
