  • Can anyone testify for these items? Interesting.

They work better on oled tvs.
But yes they are pretty good

They work just fine with a regular LCD TV too. I've got a 7 year Sony 4K model, and it works perfectly with that. Looks great with virtually any content on the tv, easy to set up, and the colour matching is pretty damned accurate

      • How did you get it to sync? I tried many times to calibrate it with the app but it's not accurate at all..maybe I'm doing something wrong 🤷‍♂️

  • Seem to be a cheaper version of the one we’re used to seeing. The other one does HDMI pass through like the Philips Play Sync Box whereas this one uses a camera to detect the edge colours. Interesting concept but a pass from me

    • Thats the lytemi neo.
Its good if your just watching tv.
This is good for if you have a console that needs hdmi 2.1

      • Series x with 2.1 works with hue sync box just not if running at 120fps. Definately worth it. I tried a camera app but too much stuffing around.

  • This has been on OzBargain many times - check out the previous comments for more information 👍

  • Has anyone put this on a 77 inch?

    • Or 85" plz

    • There is another version for larger TVs

      • Yes 75 to 85 inch version.

    • There's a version for 75-85 inch but it's out of stock on their website and Amazon. It is available on eBay Australia, but it's more expensive :-/
The Amazon shop says "new coming, stay tuned" so maybe there's a new version coming out soon or something.

I have this and absolutely love it.
The immersion factor is pretty great, you do have to tune it to your liking on the app but more importantly, I noticed it helps with eye fatigue.
Been playing Horizon Forbidden West a lot. I noticed I had more eye fatigue after a 4 hour gaming session having forgot to turn it on couple nights ago.

    • Is the camera distracting at all?

      • +1

Not at all. Forget it's even there.

    • Thanks for the info.
Been tempted on something like this for a while for both reducing eye strain when watching in dark as well as immersion (plus our tv is in a recessed niche so should hopefully look good)

I have this too and it's fantastic - was okay on my LED but much better on my OLED.
I didn't mount the camera on my TV, but on the cabinet in front of my wall mounted TV.

It also supposed "highlight" which is essentially creating a room layout with other Govee lights, similar to how Philips HUE does it, but much cheaper. I have a few strip's around the room which are linked up in the app

Also haven't noticed any huge latency problems re: camera and detects colour quite well in a dark room

Feel free to ask any questions!

How strong is the glue strength of this. Did they start coming off after some time?

      • +1

I've had mine on for about 6 months and they're still stuck on

  • Got one on my 48" OLED. Reduces eye strain on just a nice warm backlight or when you're watching a movie, great immersive effect

  • Would this or the lytmi neo be better (have an OLED)?

    • Depends, if you use a HDMI pass though like the neo, it won't work with apps on the tv because they're not going through the HDMI. I've been eyeing these off for a while and I think the govee is the best bet versatility-wise
