TA-20-OFF
This post contains affiliate links. OzBargain might earn commissions when you click through and make purchases. Please see this page for more information.

Hey guys. So happy to get this over the line with the folks at Lenovo. 20% off sitewide with code TA-20-OFF, includes laptops, monitors, accessories, software, drones, etc. Deal runs for 24 hours only, and ends 10:59am AEST tomorrow (Saturday). Excludes all Motorola products.

Use Cashrewards for a flat 10% cashback uncapped on your purchase via this link.

Important - codes are not stackable - only one code can be applied in cart. There may be instances where other onsite codes such as CLEARANCE, THINKEDGE etc may get a better discount on a certain product. Unfortunately my code won't stack with them, so obviously use the code that best works for you. The non-stacking is out of my hands (sorry).

Lenovo TA codes are exclusive to Cashrewards (any issues, lodge a claim after 7 days via your click history and we'll take care of it). For tracking success however, ensure you disable 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc) and VPNs, close any additional browser tabs, and don't click away to other sites looking for codes etc after clicking from Cashrewards as tracking will be lost. Or better still, use the Cashrewards mobile app.

Wishing you and your loved ones a safe and happy Easter. Stay safe, and enjoy :)

Thanks TA. Hands down beats the ebay offer! For those curious, the 3070 Legion 5 Pro comes down to $2005 (exc. cashback, inc. its a ridiculous $1804.5!)

    • That's pretty tempting, even though I don't need it. How much RAM and storage does that one come with?

      • 16gb ram and 512gb ssd… its the same spec as this offer https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/690331 but cheaper due to the cashback

        • Ships in more than 8 weeks

          • @badonde: The comments in the previous autumnau deal said their timing was also 8 weeks initially but tracking is showing they are shipping quicker than 8 weeks

            • +1

@Qmar: No. Our laptops have been shipped but are now stuck in East China because of covid19 lockdown. Its going to be more than 8 weeks now.
CCP has taken them captive. Lol

        • That link is 3060? Amazing price if it is for 3070

          • @CodeXD: In the post itself there is a link for the 3070 version. Was $2064 then

  • +6

Awesome, in the market for a new laptop! I don't know much about them though, what's a good sub $1100 deal ozb community? (For general use, not gaming).

    • +1

HP victus. Seems to be the best deal but we had it at 40% off so not sure when that'll happen again. 5800h, 16gb ram, 3050ti. Can't complain for $1100

    • ThinkPad X13 AMD comes down to $1100 delivered

good screen with touch, great build quality and keyboard

"ships in 2 business days", too. 3 year warranty

      part number: 20UG001HAU

      • Unfortunately code TA-20-OFF does not work on this CLEARANCE item.

        • +1

really? worked for me earlier today

  • Can anyone recommend a decent laptop to run Lightroom and do photo editing

    • +1

Can't recommend one but get one with good colour reproduction

      • +1

I'm sure there are lots of options. When I bought my Lightroom laptop I went for an MSI Titan GS75 (I think - reciting model number from memory) due to its colour reproduction.

Notebookcheck is a good website for screen quality reviews

    • The best legion you can afford.

      • yep it's not even a contest. value for money windows machines win hands down

finding a model with a good enough screen can be a challenge though. but it's not rocket science either

      • the macbook air with M1 are great when on special but for the same money you get 15.6” ips screen on windows , so depends what you your you needs are …portable and light weight or bigger screen and less portability for the same money or upgrade ability e.g add more ram or bigger ssd, have windows laptop and a macbook air so an impartial ……

      • Wtf does windows have anything to do with viruses. If OP is asking for a laptop for Lightroom you can already assume that they have a copy of Lightroom on their Adobe account. Your comment screams incompetence.

      • I have always used Windows, yet have never encountered a virus? I'm very confused as to how someone would get their laptop infected. Just don't click suspicious link and you're good.

      • +3

not sure if this is a joke or not. Never bought an apple product in my life and planning to keep it that way. Theyre the epitome of a company that is against right to repair and consumer rights

    • -1

I bought this last night as it looked like the right amount of Business and Graphics orientation for me.

Screen a little underwhelming but colour reproduction should be excellent

      https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/393908183682?hash=item5bb6c1e282…

      Extra 20% until the 23rd

      • Why do you say the screen is underwhelming? It's 2.8K display with 400 nits and dedictaed GPU
They are currently $1,785 at Lenove edu website (cheaper than Ebay) .. I'm thinking about getting one
        https://www.lenovo.com/au/en/education/laptops/thinkbook/thi…

        • Just if you are a gamer, you would probably prefer a 120Hz + as opposed to 60Hz

Other than that, as far as I could see it was a great Laptop for the money.

If you can access edu pricing all the better!!. At my age that isn't an option :-)

  • Does it work for edu store?

    • No, doesn't work for EDU store as I tried it for some accessories I was after. Also there's an existing code JUSTYOKLIN for the edu store that's about 12% off atm.

      • Yeah tried that, and wish the 20% discount code work for EDU too … unfortunately not …

        • Does the edu store workout to be cheaper?

  • +2

Tab P11 for $315 after discount seems like a good deal.

    • $359.20 with coupon? Maybe around $325 with Cashback?

I was thinking about it, but remembered the 'XiaoXin' equivalent I got a couple of weeks ago was only around $220… I can live without Netflix (stopped working after update, can't be bothered figuring how to get it working again).

need a solid laptop recommendation please

    business and gaming use

    • Get the legion 5… widely well reviewed laptop!

      • +1

        thanks!
        Pro or non pro?
        AMD or intel?

        • depends on how much gaming youre going to do… Bang for buck, I would get the AMD pro version, 16gb 512ssd, 3060 version. If you want a bit more gaming than business, swap the 3060 for a 3070.

          • +3

@Qmar: thanks i'm seriously overwhelmed by the options… just seeing a lot of trees

            • +1

@MrBillions: Without knowing the specifics of your use case for either business or gaming - such as how long, which tasks, which games, the programs you rely on - the suggestions made may not be the absolute best for you.
Having said that, Qmar's suggestion is very good for both business and gaming that is well reviewed by many. Here is the link to the Legion 5 pro AMD 5900H, 16gb, 512ssd, 3060 version. Upgrading to 3070 is worth it if you plan to game on it for many years.

              • @S2: I can only spec legion 5 pro up to AMD Ryzen™ 7 5800H, can't see option for 5900H

  • +1

They have some DJI drones on their site as well. I'm not sure how the prices compare - https://www.lenovo.com/au/en/search?text=Drones

    • A lot of them are out of stock :(

    • +1

Thank you for this. I've been eyeing the Air 2S combo for a while now.. picked it up for $1781.10 + a $178 cashback..

      $1602.99 total.. Amazing price

      • Damn I am so tempted. Must must resist!

    • DJI Mini SE Fly more combo down to $524.99 delivered. Looks like postage takes ages though ……..

Any chance this could happen for the NZ site too?

    • does not work. sad.

      Probably to avoid discounts.

  • How long after ordering does it show the transaction in Cashrewards?

    • Anywhere from 10 minutes to 7 days. If you clicked from Cashrewards and used the TA code, you've got nothing to worry about at all. Please see the OP :)

Lenovo TA codes are exclusive to Cashrewards (any issues, lodge a claim after 7 days via your click history and we'll take care of it). • TA there seems to be a code on the website 'MASTI' bringing a laptop from 1.8k to 1.1k. If we can't stack codes wouldn't we be better off using their code?

        https://www.lenovo.com/au/en/laptops/thinkpad/thinkpad-e-ser…

        • Please read the OP regarding this. Many thanks :)

so obviously use the code that best works for you.

          • @tightarse: Thanks mate

          • @tightarse: Tried applying the code on a laptop and getting error "Sorry! eCoupon not found. Try again?"

            • @RockyK9: Are you sure you’ve applied the correct code? Please note it’s case sensitive.

              • @tightarse: Yes I copied and pasted. It's saying there is coupon CLEARANCE but I'm removing it and adding your code then get that error

                • @RockyK9: That is so weird - so sorry if it's not working for you. There's a chat button at bottom right of Lenovo's website. Jump on there and tell them it's not working. Please let us know how you go. Thanks!

                  • @tightarse: Hi tightarse I also had a problem with the code TA-20-OFF on a laptop part number: 20UG001HAU I could not proceed to payment page . I took your advice with the chat button the rep said they could not honor that discount .The rep then forwarded me quote via email at a lesser discount .I have transcript of chat. Thanks

    • 15mins for me. I ordered the legion 5 pro last deal. $173 cashback.

  • Need a dock with DisplayLink to Support 2x QHD monitors connected to an M1 Mac.. any advice on this one for $222?
    https://www.lenovo.com/au/en/accessories-and-monitors/dockin…

    • +2

Why not get a Thunderbolt dock and avoid DisplayLink? There's tonnes of used ones in circulation for sub $200.

      • Would u have a recommendation on a model?

      • I understand the base Mac M1 only supports 1 external display outside of DisplayLink?

        • +1

Oh wow yeah that's kinda lame. I guess for the M1 a Type-C dock is your best bet. Would probably still go used though. Corporates dish these things out like hot cakes so you could probably save at least half normal price.

    • +2

I’d encourage you to look at TB3 docks. If you have a non pro M1 then you could also get a displaylink adapter for the second monitor. If you have a pro M1 then there is a hdmi port as an option for a second monitor.
2x displaylink is going to use up a lot of cpu resources plus you will be limiting the refresh rate.

  • Nice deal TA but a bit too late for me .

    • +9

Really lol? Unless I'm very mistaken, don't think they've ever run a sitewide promo on their web store previously.

  • any good deal on PC for editing videos? ta

  • Is a ThinkPad X1 Extreme (Gen 3) in this configuration still a good choice in 2022 for moderate photo processing and light gaming? The display seems decent, however I'm curious if there's other options I should look at around this price ($2,791.20 + Cashback) before pulling the trigger.

I think the x1 extreme gen 4 is a better choice:

I believe the discount should bring it down to $3,400
The 3050 ti is much better then the 1650 ti and you can always upgrade to the 3060
You can buy a second stick of 16gb ram and a 1tb ssd yourself and it will end up much cheaper.
Also you can play around with the display options.

      • Hi tastysouv, thanks for your reply! I actually found the Gen 4 to be much better value after tweaking specs.

        Here's what I got: ThinkPad X1 Extreme (Gen 4)

All up, came to $2666.40 + Cashback of $266.64 (tracked).

I Removed Windows (-$340) as I can easily install that myself. I'll also upgrade RAM & SSD to 32GB and 1TB myself which makes it overall much more cost effective.

        • I was thinking about mentioning the linux price reduction but didn't know how savvy you were.

That's an amazing price for those specs, especially considering the second ssd slot and unsoldered ram.

          I hope you enjoy it!

    • Don't touch Intel. Get AMD laptops if you can.

  • Looking for 2 in 1 laptop but edu store may have better value. cashrewards wont give cb for edu store yea?

Purchases made through Lenovo's student store, staff discounts, corporate deals, and negotiated offers (phone/email/chat) are ineligible for cashback.

  • Any comments on the IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 6 for about $600 after cashback vs an Acer Aspire 3 A315-58 from Domayne for the same price?
It is for general browsing, Youtube, MS Office etc for a non-geek friend.

Pros of the Lenovo are it comes with 8GB memory (so don't need to add like for the Acer) and it has a fingerprint reader. SDD size is okay for either one.

    • +1

Out of the two I'd take the Lenovo slim, though I don't see where it has a fingerprint reader. If your friend is ok with factory refurbished I've had multiple good experiences with Lenovos from Grays online. Just be wary of the 20% buyers premium and freight if applicable. This example isn't the slim, but it's 11th gen quad core i5 and double the SSD. https://www.grays.com/lot/0024-2185706/computers-and-it-equi…

      • +1

Thanks. I've had mixed results with refurbished electronics before but my friend might consider that.

Grey adds on so many additional charges though:
        The price you see
        + 20% buyer's premium
        + $33 shipping
        + a new $9 administration fee
        + a new 1% shipping-and-handling fee
        + a credit card/Paypal fee.

It come across as a bit scammy. It's difficult to figure out what the final cost will actually be, and if there is some problem with the item I imagine getting a full refund would be a big hassle.

        • +1

Yeah those extra fees are new and make Grays less attractive. Always end up watching a week's worth of auctions too only to realise the cheapest sold on day one lol.

  • +2

Been looking for a new laptop for a while. This deal has come at a good time.

Bought the Yoga Slim 7 Pro 14".

Cheapest it has been on Ozbargain with the code + cashback.

I know Ryzen 6000 is around the corner but I could not resist…

    • +1

Received $132.53 back, tracked within 10 minutes of purchase.

Works out to be slightly under $1200 for the laptop with cashback.

One of the best deals in a while. Keep them coming!

    • I was also looking at this but the display is not very good, plus no HDMI port, only 2x USB ports, no card reader, no fingerprint reader

      • There are other laptops on the site which have better IO.

    • I ended up getting the same. Only downside is not many ports, no SD card reader and no HDMI. I wanted the Thinkbook 14P but it's sold out so Indian lady called me to say best offer she could give on Yoga Slim 7 Pro 14" was $1450.. so this deal is better

  • Hmm explains why the X1 Carbon Gen 10 is out of stock temporarily ;)

  • Any good 2in1?

  • Thanks TA for the increased cashback, but I already placed an order a few days ago :(

  • Been eyeing on a Legion 5 15" AMD but was a tad out of reach. Time to sell my Dell Inspiron 7510 Plus to recoup the costs and good riddance. Thanks TA

    • what's wrong with 7510? I am going to buy one from dell outlet. Thanks

      • It runs hot and the chassis also gets uncomfortably hot to which you could probably cook an egg on it. Power throttles under loader when the cpu is not reaching TJMax.

        https://youtu.be/tIPSta8RFbo

        • thanks for reply. looks cpu temp is ok but maybe the all metal chassis is the problem to cause the surface temp high

          • @belrose: The reason why the CPU temp are ok is that I disabled Intel Turbo Boost which therefore runs cooler but look at the clockspeeds of the CPU. They are dropping below the base clockspeeds of the cpu, way below tempreture limit. Which it should not happen which suggest there is power throttling going on

  • +5

Thanks TA!! Yoga Slim 7 Pro 14 is an all time low! Pulled the trigger.

    Got the 5800H config with the OLED screen for $1325.32 - 132.50 = $1192.79
