Studio and Game caught my attention after the recent announcement of a remastered Max Payne 1 + 2 from these guys.
Was waiting for the Ultimate Edition to go sub $20 because it includes the next-gen update.

Specifically your library, if you look in the store it will still be available for purchase, despite you owning it!!!
You don't own it, you just have access to it while subscribed to PS+. There's a good reason for the option to buy it still, like wanting to get it at a discount price so you can still play it after you stop paying for PS+.
I get that but they could make it easier to let you know it’s already in your library.
It's not in my collection, I believe it was a PS5 game so only for people who had a PS5 that month?
I fairly sure it was a PS4 game from about a year ago?
Just a heads up, even without owning a PS5 you can still add the monthly PS5 PS+ games to your library by signing into your PSN account via a web browser….these games will be available for you to download later when you get a PS5
I have a PS4 copy I have yet not played.
Is it worth selling, and buying this for PS5? I guess PS4 will be okay. I don't need to waste anymore money, at least I can sell it. All these digital games will be gone if I ever stop gaming.
A ps5 or ultimate edition PS4 copy is better. But if you do not fancy 60FPS then the last gen version is serviceable.
Isn’t the version on sale the ultimate version for PS5?
I think it's worth it for the PS5 upgrade, especially as you can likely recoup half the cost (at least?) selling your PS4 copy
You can sell your account… i sold mine with 100+ digital game from ps3 to ps4 some can play in ps5
Upgrade. The game is about heavily about visuals, go for the best device you have.
have this on epic - on ozbargain freebie post.
Was so boring - im surprised by the positive reviews
Each to their own, I found it one of the most enjoyable and immersive titles. Perhaps I wasn’t expecting much.
Absolutely loved it. Such a refreshing break from standard FPS and sports games that I normally play.
But of a showcase of the PS5 for an almost launch type game..
Really enjoyed the game. Not having to worry about bullets was good.
It was aiiiight. The gameplay was reasonably fun, the ray-tracing was gorgeous in some parts, but the art style was a bit of a letdown and the story was a bit meh imo.
Got this game free twice over already… still never played it.
Just opened my Epic library for the first time in a few months; saw Control there and was pondering whether or not to download it or not. Remembered I had seen this post earlier and went to the comments section lol. One of the many Epic freebies I haven't touched yet (or ever).
For those wondering; it is written by the same team as Alan Wake and has a very Half-life vibe. Lots of puzzle-solving, gun play and Jedi-like force abilities. Pretty fun, worth if you can sit down and enjoy it.
Is Cobie Smulders getting royalties for someone using her likeness for this game?
I beat this game on PC and hopefully it's a similar experience on PS:
3rd person shooter with elements of RPG
Cool story, excellent art
And the character movement and aiming is great.
I enjoyed it heaps. Now that I have an RTX I am gonna do it all over again.
Not sure if it was just my mate's 6700XT or Radeon cards in general, but it ran like crap in DX12 even with RT off (high average fps, but lots of regular, big stutters). Ran fine in DX11, but no RT in that version.
Anyway, all that to say, yeah I think it is best on RTX cards
Great title!!
Thanks at twenty bucks, it's a pretty easy win
I always like to remind people when games were part of PS+ a while ago. Check your account before purchasing!
