      This is a refresh of a previous deal that I missed out on. It is a great deal, and it won't be around for a long time. So I am recommending people jump on this while they have a chance, it will sell out quick, and other problems.

      I suspect MS will get rid of the $1 upgrade for Ultimate/Game Pass this year (so it will go upto AUD $16 or more). Even worse if they make it that your "Xbox Live Gold" transfers to a rate of 3:1 regardless of what you've claimed first. Not to mention, they will clamp down on people using VPNs. Importantly, the new PS Subscriptions have upped the prices so MS will likely follow them. So in the future you may expect to pay around $360 for 3 years of Ultimate, but for me, it came down to Total $129 which expires 29 April 2025. Make sure you follow the instructions carefully, written by wangasm and eneba.

      You can play the latest Xbox games without an Xbox or Gaming PC. Just use "Game Pass" which will run the game on MS's hardware/servers, then stream the visuals to your device (eg Phone, Tablet, TV).

      I've done so, and have a good experience with it so far. I will do further testing on the Retroid Pocket 2+ and report back to the community. In the meantime, ask questions away.

          So Xbox Ultimate is good, and at this price it is phenomenal. It is similar to paying for a PS+ account for your PS4 but it's much more capable. It covers games from: Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. And it delivers these games to you via: Console, PC, Cloud Streaming.

          The Console part covers 95% of games, or about 800. However, if you have an old console like an Xbox 360 it won't cover the new games. Whereas the latest console (XsX) will cover almost all console games because MS has implemented a robust backwards-compatibility function into the design and ecosystem. This pass also lets you go online on your console, play multiplayer games or access the streaming video services and social/chat functions.

          The PC part covers about 40% of games, or about 300. These are all which have ports from the consoles, and even then not all of ported games (third-party) are covered. The first-party titles (MS studious) are all covered. It doesn't support backwards compatibility but there are decent amount of games included. It certainly is a must-have for people with Gaming PCs (or laptops), and it compliments strongly the other "App Stores" like Valve's Steam Platform and Unreal's Epic Game Store.

          The Cloud part covers about 25% of games, or about 200. These are games that run on MS's servers and are streamed to your device. You can access it either through an App (iOS or Android) or through a modern web-browser (most mobile devices, some smart TVs, few Car Units, etc etc). Of these games, about 50 or so (7%), some of them include a touch-screen function while most require you to connect a peripheral/gamepad to your device first.

          ….so the reason why you would own a Console is because it is better. The Xbox Series X gives you the best graphical experience at the lowest price (eg $800 console vs $2000 pc). It offers you all those Online features which are basically included in the price. And it supports many more games. The PC and Cloud features are more of a "bonus content" which MS is providing for free/cheaply for two reasons: for it to get expertise in this field, and to win more users away from Sony marketshare. One tactic I read about online is that people get this service, and do buy certain games for their console as well, but as soon as they can get access to it through GamePass they add it to their library and sell their physical copy which recoups some of their spending. This service will get more expensive in the future, sort of like how Netflix started as very affordable (and piracy went down), and now it has far less wanted content at much higher costs (and piracy went up).

            @Kangal: I just picked up an xsx. Just arrived haven't even set up yet. I wondered if I should get the game pass xbox only, or the ultimate. I'm really not sure I'd play on the PC at all. Mobile I don't know yet since I don't know what games are available.

            What's the recommended way to get the sub? I see this dealy needing a VPN which I don't have. And sounds a bit hard.

              @furyou: Use this deal. It's a live gold pass that you convert to ultimate….. It's not hard at all and they link you to a free VPN to use aswell.

              Also if you get a game pass only you can't use online play. You need the live gold for that which is already included in the ultimate

    Some tips for things that always come up on these deals.

    • Make sure the Country/region in your Microsoft account is set to Australia for the whole process. This does not need to be changed to Turkey and on some accounts it defaults to US. If it is not set to Australia you will have issues converting Gold to GPU.
    • You can add Gold to an existing GPU sub but it converts at a lower rate of 3 Gold to 1 GPU. Not recommended.
    • If claiming 36 months, ensure that Recurring billing is not selected when asked. Doing so may push you over maximum amount of months allowed and prevent you from claiming the last 12 months.
    • If you are waiting for your existing sub to expire, there may be a 24 hour delay after the last day until it lets you convert a new sub.

    I entered my first code and it says already redeemed after it gone through to the claiming process.
    Other 2 codes works fine - it finish to say something along the line of it being added.

    Any how, I just checked when it expires and it says 7th April 2025 so that is roughly 36 months… seems to work then.

      You should just upgrade it now, makes no difference since 36 months is the maximum. (Unless you don't plan on using it yet)

    Used mobile VPN for Turkey from app store. If you can't see the code view site as desktop. Only problem is it says "code not working". This happens when VPN is on. Code only works under original IP with VPN off. Turn off apply and check-out.

    Can't get step 4 to work. tried to redeem the xbox live gold in my Microsoft account (AU), keeps returning PUR-AuthenticationFailure.
    I don't have any xbox subscriptions in my MS account and I have got VPN turned on and set to Turkey, tried NordVPN and Windscribed as recommended, also tried the to redeem using PC and Mac to no avail.

    Do I also need to change the region of my MS account to Turkey?
    Any help would be appreciated as I'm pretty lost :(

      You should not change your region to Turkey.
      Do you have payment methods attached to your account (Like a credit card)? They also need to have their billing address in Australia and not be expired.

      I got to work. Clear all browsing data, cache and cookies on your browser. Connect to the VPN login to Xbox redeem code and confirm. Clear data again turn off VPN and login. Upgrade to Ultimate $1 or $15.95 and you're done.

      Completely cancel your current active subscription they will refund any amount outstanding. You might have to wait after that until it registers cancelled then follow the steps again.

          Yep , like a 1 month Ultimate code from Eneba or any other site that sell them. Will cost you more than the $1 but it'll fix the issue. The other possibility is trying Microsoft support and relying on them switching your country back .

              @shevron: I think you misunderstand unless you're referring to getting a Microsoft Employee to intervene. I would avoid that also.

              If you've created your account mistakenly in Turkey and added three years worth of Live time and now you have 3 years worth of time you want to convert, you likely won't be able to use the $1 offer and convert the time over as it will want a payment method (turkish) if you keep it as Turkey or complain about the store account (if you use another country).
              However, buying and redeeming a global code for Game Pass ultimate, like a 1 month code, at least for me and the time i tried it, let me convert the time to GPU when redeeming the code.

    Sorry, I think I am being thick and I want to make sure I have understood this before I buy.
    I go to Eneba and buy 3 x 12 month "Xbox Live Gold 12 months Xbox Live Key TURKEY"
    When I register it against my account I will end up with 36 months of Xbox live and be given an option to buy
    Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for $1.
    At the end of all this do I end up with
    36 months of Xbox Live Gold with 36 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for $109.36 ($36.12x3 + $1)
    Or
    36 months of Xbox Live Gold with 1 month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for $109.36 ($36.12x3 + $1)

      If you already used your $1 trial then this will still work for you. However, your subscription needs to be expired before you do this.
      At step 5 instead of paying $1 to upgrade the Gold you will pay $15.95 instead since you already used the trial.

    I've tried everything, used 3 different browsers, cleared cache but I still keep getting error that the code purchased is different from my account.

    My VPN is connected to Turkey (Google confirms this) and my account is in AU. I've even tried to change my account to Turkey, but still doesn't work.

    Help?

      There is no need to change account to Turkey, just need to use VPN to get Turkey IP.

      Follow these steps:
      1. Ensure you have key from Turkey region and not from Global or AU region.
      2. Connect to Turkey VPN, maybe useful to use alternate VPN service if further steps don't work.
      3. Visit redeem.microsoft.com using Chrome (or any web browser) login with credentials and enter the key. It should validate and allow you to redeem.
      4. Disconnect VPN, if you don't have more keys to enter in which case repeat step 3.
      5. Now just follow rest of the steps in this deal to convert Gold to Ultimate using local IP.

          Even though Google/some websites may recognise the IP being in Turkey, Microsoft may not. You need to try another VPN, like the one from the original post.

    I am too chicken to try this trick as some people are having problems, but I appreciate the reminder that you can covert gold into ultimate.

    I redeemed Xbox live gold through Microsoft points instead. Works out to $5 per month for ultimate, so I am happy.

    Well, for what it's worth, it worked for me. I used the Windscribe VPN extension for Chrome, cleared cookies beforehand, bravely clicked through the warnings on Eneba about regions, and redeemed the codes in Microsoft. Then did the Ultimate update which converted the 36 months worth.
