  • Any issues if you ordered from the last boost cashback deal posted?
    ($9 spend/$10 cashback)
Been caught our before, with one of these cash back deals, that it was only one Sim per month limit

    • I ordered one from that deal on Sunday. Cash back tracked in minutes. But the problem is, there is zero communication from Boost about the order. Lucky I did take a screenshot of order no. and had a chat with customer support about this on Tuesday.
They said they will get back to me in 24 hours about order update, which hasn’t happened yet.
Not sure if this happens a lot or it’s just me.

      • It can take up to 6 weeks to ship you order. Activation is not required to confirm cashback. Click on the product link above to check previous deal.

        • Ohkay I missed the part about 6 weeks to ship. But the bonus data for next month only works if activated within 30 days of ordering(cashrewards deal). If it takes 30 days to ship, how can I activate in 30 day.
This deal is better with date of activation almost 2 months away.

        • I doubt this, it specifically listed in the T&C "SIM must be activated within 30 days of ordering", so my understanding is they look at the date of ordering, not shipping?

          • @szy2k: There's three deadlines to watch out for.
            1. Activate by 4/7 to get bonus data in first month.
            2. Second and third recharges both have to be before 31/8 to get bonus data in month 2 and 3.
            3. Activate within 30 days of order (potentially before SIM arrives) to get cash back via SB.

On their website it says this:

Our new phones and SIMs are shipped by our partner Telstra. If you place your order on a business day, your item will usually be dispatched within 24 hours. Once dispatched, you should receive your order within the following business days:

Metro Areas – 2-5 business days for capital cities – Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Canberra, Darwin, Hobart & Brisbane (order before 4pm).
Non Metro or Regional / remote areas – 3-7 business days

Now I’m just getting worried cos I’m going away for holiday and I put the delivery address to the holiday place :/

        • Best case scenario, they might ship within 14 day or worst upto around a month.
If you are coming back from holiday in 2 weeks, I would suggest contact them and have them change the delivery address.

  • Cheers OP, got one.

As a reminder, ShopBack is widely known to adjust the cashback values to avoid any possible profit.

    • …and like recent CB deal, Boost seem to be out of SIMS so delay in posting out. In turn what happens if not received and activated within 30 days of ordering?

      • I would like to know too, have ordered over a week and no info of posting.

      • I don't worry to much about the trouble from slow delivery - they hardly refuse a lodged case.

        • Has the Deb-bot ever accepted a lodged case? I had a sim last year that i activated 31 days after ordering and got refused.

          • @CacheHunter: It always works for me. But I do agree shopback is not as convinced as the other option.

  • Smart promotion. Make the first 28 days cheap, free/small profit and hope people sticking with Boost will pay another 12 periodic installments rather than the 12 month SIM that is much better value.

    • It depends on needs. The 12 month Sim would not incl 40GB data each 28 days.

      • That's 10GB a week. Who needs that much? Sure I could use it if it was given to me but my day to day life doesn't require me to use over half a terabyte of mobile data every year. I guess if someone spent a lot of time on trains streaming Netflix in 4K?

        • I know several people who do i.e. no Home Internet and use their Mobiles for Data.

          • @Borg: In that case, 10GB of 'wifi' a week is tiny! I'm not even home that much and I still use more wifi a week than that (before updates, downloads etc).

  • Do you need to stay connected for more than 1 month to get cash back?

    • Or if I do not recharge after a month, will it stay connected for a certain period of time till the cashback is confirmed?

  • Esim ?

    • No boost does not support esim.

      But telstra support.

used shopback app on the phone to minimise cashback lost however, cashback still hasn't been tracked :(

  • These occasional boost Sims are great for transfering out for a month between 1c Kogan Sims.

I may actually go an entire year of mobile service & come out with a net profit.

    • Indeed! I'm still using those 1c Kogan sims as a recharge, rather than as a new customer

      • +1

I found I get more data when I transfer out then back in.

  • Can i use these as a data hotspot?
Can i cancel after 1 month or o i have to stay for a certain period

    • +1

I don't see why not. that's exactly what I plan to do

I still haven't recieved my sim ordered the end of last month

    • Same here.
Its been 2 weeks already. Has anyone received the sim yet

      • might as well cancel if it's gonna be such a long wait, but

"For refund, we have a process for that, you will need to wait for the delivery of the sim to return it to the warehouse to process the refund."

"On our end we don't have option for cancellation of order, the process was, you will need to wait for the delivery and once it has been delivered to you, you will message us back for us to submit a return webform for you to return the sim to our warehouse, once the warehouse received the sim, then they will process the refund for you."

        great process!

    • same here ffs

  • No delivery yet… almost forgot about it too…

  • Not shipped yet and shopback hasn’t tracked it.

  • Where is my Sim?

Disappointing as I was going to use it on my trip at the start of may.

    I ordered this 16/3

  • Ordered 2 on the 29 March on Cashrewards. Both tracked immediately.

    Wasn’t allowed to order anymore.
same error message came up every time

Still haven’t received sims. 30 day activation limit coming up on 29 April.

    Has anyone received theirs ?

    • I ordered one I believe on the same day still haven't received it

    • Nothing here from 7 April :/

  • I annoyed them a while and got an email today saying it had been sent. Clowns

  • DO NOT BUY Boost MOBILE, THEY WILL NOT DELIVER SIM CARD

    • +2

Well usually they do but right now out of stock. In turn their main fault is NOT noting this and yet still selling them.

  • Just got mine today, 29 days since ordering. Have activated within 30 days so should get my tracked Shopback confirmed.

  • Got mine delivered 28/4, a little faster at 21 days later but I did ask chat support where my sim is.

  • I'm still waiting for this. Zzz

    • Me, too.

    • Waiting here as well. Given up on cash back unless someone's got advice on how to activate before receiving the sim?

      • Does it need to be activated within 30 days of ordering?

        • +2

From the shopback T&Cs for Boost mobile: "SIM must be activated within 30 days of ordering."

So I'm assuming yes it has to be activated. Poor form from shopback/boost. Effectively bait advertising if they know the sims will not be delivered within the 30 days.

@Obs: If only Boost allowed PayPal and we could all put a dispute claim in

            • @BargainsGrabber: I called boost today. Was told that stock has just arrived and they will start distributing from Monday 9th. If it's true, it's very conveniently right after the 30 days has lapsed.

              • @Obs: Still waiting for a dispatch email, nada on my end

                • @BargainsGrabber: I gave up. Called their sale support who advise my order still hadn't been "allocated". I asked for a refund and they told me it would be quicker if I simply did a CC charge back so I did that.

Still waiting for my order -_-
