Crazy deal IMO, if you happen to have an education email. I bought one last black friday for a lot more than this but was quite happy with the TV.

It's been 4 days of me constantly requesting a verification email be sent, and none being sent.
I know that my college isn't blocking the emails from Sony as I raised a support ticket via their website and received an email with ticket no. etc.
Just rang support and they fobbed me off telling me to contact my college. I suspect they didn't expect the amount of people who would take up the offer (as indicated on by the note on their education page) and have stopped sending through emails.
The support person did tell me however that I could use my student ID at a Sony store to receive the student discount.
Student price is currently 2195 for the 65 inch
I just rang the Parramatta store and they said that they've removed TV's from the student discount scheme "due to overwhelming response"
Sales assistant said that it was because of this post on OzBargain.
He was very helpful and said there were a number of other products available at student discount rates (audio, camera equipment etc) and that I could use my student ID in store.
That's the standard price.
Finally got my 2days ago after hassling them every second day. Was jack of hearing the same thing - the bookings team will ring you to organise - which never happened. Then out of the blue I get a call from the delivery driver saying my tv will be delivered in 30mins. In SEQ.
