Google Pixel 6 Pro 128GB $1,235 Shipped @ Skyphonez ($1,173.25 Price Matched @ Officeworks)

131

Bought 2 of these yesterday from Officeworks for $1,173.25 each - for my wife and I. Effective price is $1,167.38 including Flybuys points earned. Officeworks beat the Skyephonez price by 5%. (Skyphonez warranty page says all new products are genuine Aus stock with manufacturer warranty - and they had stock.) Went to my local JB HiFi before, as it is nearer - but they wouldn't go below $1,200 (and you won't get the Flybuys with them).

Note that this page has 2 colour options - Stormy Black and Sorta Sunny. The Cloudy White is also available at the same price - on a separate page: https://skyphonez.com.au/product/google-pixel-6-pro-5g-12gb-….

If you are buying from Skyphonez it looks like you can get 3.5% cash back with Shopback - which should be worth $39.30 (assuming they calculate it on exc-GST price, otherwise is worth $43.22). So the effective price from Skyphonez should be $1,195.70 after Shopback.

Must be a scalper store, the pixel 6 series are 20% higher than direct from Google and every other Australian retailer. Personally I wouldn't support this kind of store.

    • What is the price of Pixel 6 PRO 128GB on Google store or other retailers? $1,299 …

      • Look at the non discounted price for that model and the current price for all the other models from thjs seller is what I'm saying.

Yeah I'm not sure if you're gonna get $200 worth of flybuys value for paying that much more. Is this a deal? 🤔

    • What is the price of Pixel 6 PRO 128GB on Google store or other retailers? $1,299 …

  • Yes. Price on Google Store and everywhere else is $1,299.

  • How did you find the phone so far anyway? I don't follow the reviews, but not sure if it was well received!

    • I've been a Google Phone user for the past 9 years. But I've only bought 2(borrowed iPhone 6 when Nexus 4 broke)… This Pixel 6 Pro and my recently retired Nexus 4.

This is a very very great phone in my opinion. I love the Google Assistant that handles my phone calls, and real time translations. Also, the camera is very good. I haven't used my Mirrorless camera on my business trips. I usually bring it to take some pictures but I don't need it on short trips with this phone.

But, like I said, I had a Nexus 4 prior to it breaking down… Used a borrowed iPhone 6 couple of months until I bought this at release.

Had the 6 Pro since day 1, but it was a let down from the very first day. Had quite serious network issues out of the box that only got fixed with a software update about a week later. But my biggest gripe which is the FP reader, never worked reliably and it still doesn’t. I often have to use the pin unlock, which can be quite annoying when you want to quickly unlock the phone for payments etc.
With every update Google fixes bugs, but they also introduce new ones, so it’s a never ending saga, for example the last update messed up my haptic feedback, and the phone dialler.
If you are a Pixel fan/android purist then you may be able to tolerate some of the shortcomings, but if you are not, then get a Galaxy S.

      • I really wanted the 6pro but read about too many issues. Got S22 plus and it's awesome

      • Thanks for feedback, I currently have Galaxy S10 and happy with it, only thing I dropped the phone and resulted of couple of small cracks, most likely will stay with Galaxy when time comes to upgrade, unless Google improve for the next Pro7

    • This is a crap phone google being at its very best online was able to suppress the negative voice on these phones. I have been using it for the past 6 months few features are good but nothing great I had to replace by back glass and laughable they want me to send the phone to Melbourne and the glass is so feeble it broke on the first day. I was weighing in for iPhone 13 pro with this and finally bought this.

No service centre in most of the cities.
Google's new processor is extremely hot hence that bump so you feel less.
      Battery backup is weak.
      No support or customer service.
The nighttime camera is laughable there will be glares all around the picture both in video and photos.
4K video stability is pathetic very shaky.
      Nature photos are crap
The only good options are Portraits which are better then any other Phone apart from that nothing gr8

Overall it's not worth it's price we pay for their new processor research I would say it's only worth 600 - 700$ mark.

Is anyone able to share a receipt (either posted or PM). My local Officeworks wouldn't budge on price matching.

Telstra Day April deals $200 off Pixel 6 Pro ($1,099) Telstra day

    • On principle, I'd still like to make the point tonorrow that other OWs PMd, but the Telstra pricing is sharp. Thanks!

  • Pretty good deal, but unfortunately tried at JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman they wouldn't price match - not surprising, oh well was worth a shot.
