    With ugly branding too…

      Ugly branding?

      • -2

The text going across each side of the headphone; not the most discrete looking, they just slapped their name on it. The name itself is fine, just how they stylised the text (font) as well.

        • I guess it’s more for those that value sound over text on the side of the ear cup hehe 😂

        • Eh, we don't have to agree in terms of the application of branding on the ear cups, but the package as a whole looks fantastic and reasonably timeless (I particularly enjoy the Carbon edition)

Much better than a lot of the very plasticy junk out there.

  • Commenting to downvote, sorry OP

  • Have these and the 2nd gen Sonys.

Sound of the PX7 is better but NC on the plane is far superior with the Sonys.

    • Yea if fly a lot or need the best NC there is, obviously these are not for you, these are more focused on the picky end of headphone users for certain sound signatures and sound ability. Of which the Sony's just can't do IMO.

    The codecs is amazing tho

    Bluetooth Codecs
    aptX™ Adaptive
    aptX™ HD
    aptX™ Classic
    AAC
    SBC

    Bluetooth 5.0. That's a shame.

      Bt5 is a shame?

      • There is already BT5.1. I am pretty sure 5.2 as well.

        • And? Why do you need 5.1 or 5.2? These aren’t a new release. What source are you listening from that needs better and needs all those codecs?

          • +1

@onlinepred: 5.2 has futuristic LC3 Audio codec but you are right by implication. For common use, it makes bugger all difference between 5.0 to 5.2.

    • No LDAC though, which is a pretty big omission given it has the highest possible bitrates (990 kbps at 32 bit/96 kHz) and is now widely-supported on smartphones.

      • Speaking about this, I've just realized S22 Ultra has Aptx HD and LDAC for Oz Market because of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset.
