  • Hey there, it states compatible with ‘ Amazon Alexa Echo Plus 2 (No bridge is required)’

What about just a normal 4th gen Echo? Which is also zigbee hub, will it work through this device instead?

    • +1

Hi, these smart Zigbee lights will works directly with the 4th Gen Echo.

      • Awesome! thanks for the quick smart reply (:

  • Hi, do these come with the lug attached?

If not could you point me to the ones that do please?

    Thanks

    • Yes, this downlight comes with a plug attached.

  • Will these work with an Amazon Echo Show 2?

I'm new to smart lighting and I don't know what all this bridge stuff is about.
Will they also simply work with the phone app instead, if I didn't want to use Alexa?

    • Hi, yes it works with Amazon Echo Show 2 just like any Hue Zigbee lighting product.

You don't have to use Alexa to link these smart ZigBee lights but you got to have a Zigbee Bridge / Hub from another brand like Philips Hue or Aeotec.

Because ZigBee lights operate in a Zigbee-Mesh Network which is generated by a ZigBee Bridge.

      • I'm only looking to replace 2 downlights in my bedroom with RGB lights, are there any solutions where I don't have to buy a controller?
I can see how a controller would be needed if I was doing the whole house.

        • This downlight doesn't need a controller or a hub to work.

          https://www.lectory.com.au/Nue-Smart-WIFI-LED-9W-Downlight-K…

It works with a Smart Phone App under 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi coverage.

          • @Lectory LED Lighting: Thank you. How bright are these when changing the colour? I've heard some of the cheaper ones (like Kogan) are fine on normal white, but as soon as you change the colour they are very dim.

I liked the look of the 12w ones in this deal. Maybe I will buy a controller, any advice for a cheap one that will get the job done?

  • How do these compare to the Hue Abkari Downlight in terms of colour reproduction?
