JXD 7" Android Tablet $99

110

Looks like a fairly good tablet at a similar price to the optus mytab. Though has much better features:
Able to play mkv video, hdmi out, capacitive touch, 1.5GHz CPU, multi core.

  • Looks good on paper. Any RL reviews?

  • Check youtube can only found the older A9 S7100

  • Support for 2k res via HDMI.

    Oh my.

    • Pretty sure you'll never come to use it. As long as 1080p is good, it should be a decent tablet apart from its rather tiny amount of RAM. Bump it up to 1GB and this would be a pretty sweet tab.

  • The A9 version doesn't look too bad

  • same-ish price as DX (with 2.3.4): http://www.dealextreme.com/p/jxd-s7600-7-capacitive-android-…

but seems a ICS4.0.3 ROM is available: https://www.flashmyandroid.com/forum/showthread.php?465-ROM-…

"DELIVERY BETWEEN 2-4WEEKS" which is a common theme when googling the S7600 - a few people have ordered them but they are yet to arrive. Possible supply issue?

  • can this site be trusted? going to buy one, so tempted.

    • looks like a drop shipping agent. Probably OK, just subject to the usual delays of receiving goods from China/HK.

  • Sometime when I saw this I started to think why we have to pay several hundred dollars to buy Samsung Galaxy Tab 7?

Are they really that much of difference?

    • for the brand.

    • +2

Aside from the brand, one of the biggest factors is battery life. This one quotes 4 hours battery but I doubt you'll get that. Also this one has no mention of App Market support.
The camera is listed as 0.3 MP (VGA) but it goes on to say it supports 1080p video recording. Seems a bit strange to me.
Still, for $99 its worth a shot.

      • 0.3M how can it support 1080p video recording?

      • +1

According to someone who bought an ePad (similar specifications) the battery life is only 2 hours (though the manufacturer claims 6).

        • I've got similar spec tablet, last about 6 - 8 hours
do not expect the cpu to run over 1 gig………

          mine is ainol 7 advanced

        • +1

I've got similar spec tablet, last about 6 - 8 hours

Thats a slightly more upmarket tablet which is also more expensive.

Generally, if you see a 1ghz+ multi-core tablet at such a low price, it probably means they cut corners by using a lousy battery.

        • I can vouch for that!

    • Doesn't look like it has GPS or bluetooth, which are pretty handy features in a portable device.

  • +2

Awh yeah - 2160P video resolution

  • For anyone that buys this, upgrade to ICS (4.0) via this link:
    http://www.86pp.com/download_view.asp?id=219

    Download speed is excruciatingly slow.

  • What RAM does this take to upgrade it?

  • +1

Its not really multicore is it? Seems like fake specs..

  • +1

its CPU + GPU (mali 400)
    not true multi core…..

    • CPU 800Mhz + GPU 400Mhz + other SidePUs 200Hz = 1400Mhz ! Ta-da !

  • +1

not going to buy any tablets without built-in 3G support.

  • +1

    Cameras, Photos and Video Recording:

0.3M Camera; Support Internet Video Chat, DC and DV; Support Video Recording, HD(1080P); Support JPG, BMP and PNG etc., browsing and slide show

Really? Capture 1080p using 0.3M camera?
Is it some technology from the future?

    • Pretty sure it is referring to playback…

      • playing 1080p on 800x480 screen?
or playing 1080p when it claims 2160p?

        • What?…

        • As in thought HDMI… Sigh

  • Im not sure if you guys ever heard of the quote "you get what you paid for". It's true in most cases.

      I have a Cheap-Pad, 7", capacitive, 8650 cpu, 256MB ram, 2 GB drive. No charger. 20$ pickup in Sydney Rocks :-)

      • camel, refer privatemsg

  • Specs seem a little misleading, says supports "3G Data Card" which to me means SIM, but graphics say requires extra hardware (ie 3g dongle) However seems someone asked a question about it and they responded again that it supports 3g data card. Maybe their interpretation of it is different to mine?

  • Good tablet, I have one similar. but what the hell is a OTG Cable?

    • Refers to USB On-The-Go. For OTG-compatible devices, an OTG cable allows you to use bus-powered USB devices such as USB mice/keyboard, USB thumb drives etc.

  • Any 3G or GPS?
Might as well go for the Novo (25 hours battery life) or that other weird one on Whirlpool

    • what is the weird one?
