Over $800 cashback through annual fee rebates on this card. You can redeem multiple different and duplicate annual fee rebates with your reward points.

Create a debit account to avoid the annual fee fee on this one too.

Beware westpac everyday transaction accounts will have a monthly account keeping fee (I think it's $5) if you don't deposit over $2k in there.

      • Good callout, I put $2k in there on opening account which paid onto credit card first month anyway.

        • From what I've read on whirlpool as long as you've had an account with Westpac (and have a online banking login) you can access the "existing customer" offer

          • @silentkeepcup: this is correct, cancelled my Westpac few years ago but I kept the login details, was able to login and sign up as existing customer

            • @iori57: Same as me, cancelled the black card couple years ago and retained the login details. I am able to sign up as existing customer with $49 annual fee.

    • You still get charged an annual fee of $49 in the first year as per the TOC?

      • There is an offer for existing customers to not get charged an annual fee first year

    • How does this work, I have that card but the highest rebate option available is $250?

      • +1

        Redeem $250 multiple times.
Or a mixture of the various rebates

  • Pure New cardholders full stop
or can be eligible if we do not hold in the last 12 months for example?

  • The fact you'd have to hold this for at least 4 months and cant just spend the min amount in one go is annoying

westpacs online system is absolute trash.

    • what bank’s online system is best?

      • +1

CBA is much better but I wouldn't say Westpac's one is absolute trash. Its one of the better ones, wait till you use HSBC and also, despite being one of the big 4, NAB system has much to improve.

    • Wait till you use HSBC or Citibank.

  • I’ve met the minimum spend criteria but haven’t received my credit. I’m only in my second statement month.

    Application was easy.

  • Application easy online, spent the 4k first week and received the cashback the week after.

    • I thought one needs to spend 1k each month over the course of 4 months?

    • Please clarify? 4k first week?

      • Did a group booking for accommodation, spent 4k. Recieved the 400$ cashback the following week. E Z

        • when you applied, the T&C said $100 back each month spend $1000 for 4 months or just spend $4k get $400 back?
probably previous offer is different from this one

'Current Westpac credit card customers or customers who have held a Westpac credit card in the last 12 months are not eligible for this offer.' - previously you were still eligible for the $400 CB offer on the Low Rate card if you had an unrelated Westpac card (e.g. Altitude card) but appears that holding any other Westpac card prevents you from qualifying for the promo now.

This, in combination with the need to keep for 4 months to get the full CB, seems to indicate that they are trying to somewhat hinder those who churn multiple cards rapidly

Bpay not eligible how people spending $1000 eqch for 4 months?

  • On the previous deal. Already spent 4k 2 weeks ago and still got nothing. The lady at the call centre said the condition was you need to hold the card for 4 month to get the cashback… :(

    • She was reading from the current deal. In the previous deal, people said they received the cashback within less than a month that they've met the spending requirement.

  • Are you eligible if you have held a Westpac Corporate Credit Card in the last 12 months??
