Thanks $52 or so for a crate of asahi cans. I’m in

    • +2

The flybuys points is for wine not beer…

      • +1

At $70 for the Asahi cans, it'd be around $54 after cashback.

        • -1

Yes you are quite right. Had a few too many Asahi tonight. Need to to restock

  • I've got pending approval on the last First Choice and it is telling me it will be 04/06/2022. Is that sort of timeframe normal?

    • Yes

      • +2

Thanks for the update. I decided to grab this one, as well. Mainly because I would've bought the wine anyway.

        • the best kind of saving

***Keep noted**** My one has not been tracked and confirmed yet since 1 month ago when last 25% promoted. I gave them all the documents including invoice and order confirmation email, they still claimed they have not received confirmation from merchant and they are currently checking with merchant and it could take up to 90 DAYS!!! So be careful if you decide to pull the trigger.

    • I suggest not collecting if it doesn't track. They refund you if you don't collect so problem solved.

      • +3

Not always. I have left some orders uncollected and first choice just left one order open. When I eventually chased up refund they pretended I collected it for a bit and eventually refunded. Ymmv

        • Noctis that you?

        • First Choice is so dodgy with uncollected orders after 10 days. You get either
          a) "disappeared from the system"
          b) "system says you collected already"

      • I have already collected the next day after order placed, thought cashrewards gonna track the order within 3 days as they mentioned.

ESTIMATED APPROVAL: Up to 100 Days

      • Ya I still haven't got my money from last 25% Cashback.

      • my one is not pending for approval, it is totally missing from tracking.

        • Yes but it’s being investigated and they said it could be up to 90 days which is less than 100 days.

    • +1

@tonyz123: I had this happen once (a rare event). If you submitted your invoice then all will be well as you have submitted the proof. It just takes longer. Just set a reminder in your calendar for 90 days to check if it was actioned. Mine was and fully paid.

      • ok. thanks for your info. I will wait and see what they would reply with before to totally forget this cash back thing….

    • Worth noting that the cashback times are provided by the merchant and not Cashrewards. Considering the normal time for First Choice is 100 days it's not that bad.

      I'm sure @tightarse can take a look.

YAY!!! Combined with my $20 Bonus Cashback earlier this week its a YES! I know where I'm spending it

Scam alert - have tried putting cask wines in the cart but get message that not available in QLD. Doesn't matter if wine is on special or not - still says no stock. Went to local store and it is packed to the rafters with stock and manager says it is available for click and collect on their website so 'third party' problem. Cashrewards refers to limitations on supplier website, which has no mention of excluding cask wine. Nothing on Cashrewards mentions exclusion of cask wine. This is a con because it doesn't say only wine contained in a glass bottle.

    • -1

So who is pulling the scam? First Choice Liquor? Can't be Cashrewards because they're not First Choice and have 0 control over their website and how it functions.

      • Cash rewards advertised the offer and First Choice Liquor are not honouring it. Interesting that they run it on a Saturday so they can blame, for instance IT, website providers, third parties or whomever doesn't work on a Saturday in their organisation.

        • +2

I wouldn't over think it too much. Probably a simple case of First Choice overlooking their terms properly.

        • No goon of fortune for you tonight!

I tried to order 6 bottles of wine, but it only let me add 3 to the cart. No matter which store I picked I couldn't add more than 3. Still a good deal though.

    • Two orders of 3 would probably work.

      • 3 bottles were under $50 so I wouldn't get the flybys.

This is the first time I've noticed this after putting a number of orders through in the last few months.

All good though, I am still happy with the deal I got.

I just went in now and can add more than 3 bottles

  • Has anyone's CR tracked on this? It's been 2 days and mine hasn't tracked yet although it shows in the click history. I haven't picked up my order yet, and won't if it doesn't track, don't want to go through the same hassle as this: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/11898030/redir

Any idea how long it might take before I give up, 3days?

    • Mine tracked immediately. I used Chrome extension.

      • Thanks for confirming, I used their android app. I think they say their app is more reliable, but doesn't look like it. Well, I will give it 1 more day, lets see.

        • Yup, I usually always use the app and take a screenshot as evidence, as with shopback
