That's like commenting on a 3050 and saying I'd prefer a 3090, this is not for you.
Where can you get a 10gbps switch for less than $200 bro
10gbe, are you from 2019? 20gbe is where it's at… Do you not have 2 networks bonded you peasant?
And then to link the shed you gotta get that airfibre60HD
https://store.ui.com/collections/operator-airfiber/products/…
So you can still smash those 20gbe ports when you chillaxing in the man cave.
I have an issue with these (have 3 of them) where the port would still be active from my docks with no computer connected. This causes the entire switch to lock up until I power off the dock, or remove the Ethernet cable from the switch.
Showing 3rd party seller only - $45 with no prime for me
Showing $45 with $11.42 delivery
Looks similar. Do you know the difference between the OP and the one you linked?

Steel vs Plastic is the biggest difference.
Steel is much better
On gumtree there are plenty of unwanted ISP-supplied router-modems. The LAN ports act as a switch so they can be a substitute to buying this.
For free?
The size factor is the problem.
And the fact that they are usually 4 ports, not 5 like a dedicated switch. In case that's important to you.
@Thrifty McGifty: yes all valid points. just raising this as a possible option - might work for some people and hopefully reduce some ewaste along the way.

So I see this has expired, but I just did a search and found an 8 port TP Link (metal one) on Amazon for $29. That seems like a decent deal to me.

Also no stock on this one!
Got one of these. Works perfectly.
