@castback: I litually got afree upgrade from my 5600XT when the 6600xt first got released. the sale of my 5600XT sold for way more than I paid for it back in 2020 lol so for me it was worth the upgrade because I didn't pay anything to do it. But now who knows how much the next graphics card is going to be when all teh graphics cards are droping price.

Stupid Afterpay spending limit, I just signed up but they start you off with $600, is there a way around this to still be able to get any of this deals?
2 things you can try, Giftcards work with split payment as people have reported, or call AP and tell them you want to participate in their sale and they might increase your limit.
Thanks, I called them but they said it's all automatic based on your repayment history, they can't adjust it manually. And I'm a bit hesitant about buying gift cards because even if they work I believe the discount will only be applied on the $600 paid with Afterpay.
1 guy posted he paid 1$ with AP and used rest on GC, how true this is idk, take it with a grain of salt but others have reported successful transactions with split payment.
If what you're saying is true re the discount, you're still getting 15% off a $600 purchase.

I ended up getting the 3080 Vision, it seems to be a bit better than Eagle. And can confirm as well that using gift cards to reduce the amount to be paid with Afterpay works perfectly fine and you still get the full discount. In fact, I ended up paying only $70 with Afterpay and the rest with gift cards because although I was already under my spending limit, Afterpay still cancelled my order (probably because I was new and the transaction was too close to my limit)
I used Prezzee for the gift cards btw if anyone is interested, activation was instantaneous (at least paying with a debit card), and purchased three gc's consecutively, 2 x $500 and one of $200.
Now waiting for the gpu to arrive!
lol wow they changed it when I started when afterpay first came out I automatially had a 2000 limit.

The Afterpay discount applies to the total cost of the item. In my case item cost was $1399
I added the Afterpay voucher which took off $209.85 then I added a $200 gift card voucher then the Afterpay was split up over what was left Total charged to AfterPay AU $989.15
I bought my gift card through cashrewards and got the voucher instantly.

Anyone else getting issue with Afterpay checkout? I purchased $1185 in Ebay gift cards and tried to check out for last $4 and it kept erroring. Called Ebay to no avail, no option to change afterpay account to see if that's the issue. They've referred it to their technical team, apparently 24-72 hour turnaround time if they can even resolve the issue.
All good - I did not have $1 in my transaction account linked to my Afterpay account. Explains a lot…
