Samsung 75-inch QN90A 4K Neo QLED Smart TV $2695 (QA75QN90AAWXXY) + Delivery @ Harvey Norman

110

First actual deal post. Doing on my phone so dunno how this will go.

The QN-B range has been released, so this has plummeted in price. Cheaper with cashbacks and gift cards obvs.

(May be a pricing error?)

IPS ADS panel (not VA panel seen in most overseas reviews)

HDR10+ instead of Dolby Vision (Samsung don't wanna pay for the Dolby license anymore)

Noticeable blooming when viewed at angle (I've persoanlly seen this instore, but I don't know if firmware updates can/will rectify this)

WTF Samsung being scum like Hisense and doing bait and switch? I was going to get the QN90B, but if they are being asshats then LG gets my money.

      • I'm still waiting for the reviews to come out for the QN-Bs 😅 but yeah, prob won't be the same here.

'Give the biggest content creators the best versions so they can make awsome reviews… thn build cheaper model and sell to the rest hoping that don't find out because the model numbers are the same' 🤣 I guess is their business model.

At least Hinese Australia is honest about it now on their website and points it out. I contacted Samsung Australia directly before, who said they don't have this information available (i.e. sub-panel type)

    Store in Title?

      My bad

  • So is this any better than my QN85A?

    • If you have the 85", I'd say probably not.

    • Depends if you have an 85" QN85A, if so, it's still debatable due to the panels used in Australia (first comment has a way too in-depth look into this if you're brave enough, lol)

If you have a QN85A under 85", then I would say the QN90A is better.

I place an ordered this morning and choose to click and collect. Just received ready to pick up email. Lucky me 😂

  • I know this pricing won't be available to everyone as you need certain connections but you can get the 65" version of this TV through Samsung Friends and Family for just under $1925 delivered.

    • It says you need an email invite for 'Friends and Family', from a Samsung employee? Is that the only way? Can anyone help hook this up…

      • Yes that's the only way. You need to know someone who works in Samsung corporate.

      • If this is the portal you're asking about, I believe Students or Companies Partners or Government have access. Pretty sure it's based on your domain email address. Have a look here…

It's not the regular Education or Partner Portal. For example the Education Portal lists the 65" QN90A as $3061 - over $1000 more than the Friends and Family price.
