Hope you have a good holiday although SeaWorld isn’t what it used to be and the resort was good when first opened but I believe it’s in dire need of an update. I don’t think the monorail has operated for years but maybe they finally fixed it? Long walk into the main park area from the resort if not.

Long walk into the main park area from the resort if not.

There is an entrance from the resort which is basically the back door - gets you in over the back past the dolphin area. But definitely a fair hike to the main entrance area.

We literally just got back. The monorail hasn't been operating for a while now, it's not operating while they build the new roller coaster (because the monorail runs near it so its a safety thing). The walk into the park is about 5-10 minutes. It's a good 15-20 minute walk if you want to go to the front of the park. The shows aren't what they used to be either.

The Monorail wasn’t operating when I took my daughter there at 18 months she’s now 6 🤣

      • I like the dolphin show. Went there like 10 yrs ago. Is it still good?

    • None of the theme parks are what they use to be. Been years of more rides closing than new riders opening.

All the shows that made Movie World great are also gone.

So glad I got experience them as a 90s kid during their peaks.

This was a decent deal back when it was like $999. It's still an okay deal now, but I think I'd rather get a nicer airbnb. You can easy access to Sea World but that's easily the worst park of the three IMO

I couldn't find any dates with an $1199 price and nothing over Easter school holidays, july school holidays around twice the rate. Better off with a 7 day pass for ~$150 and a nice hotel (i saw some well rated nice ones for well under $200 a night)

Check on T&C, it is +100/night in school holidays and +150/night in Easter, killing the deal

  • I went there a few years ago, compared to any international water park, this place was a dump in comparison

  • We went there about 2 years ago. It was pretty good. I love the new(at the time) jellyfish exhibit.

    Breakfast was really good.

The kids waterpark at the resort is good for little kids.

    But….
The room was tiny and the walls paper thin. Unfortunately, there was a couple in a nearby room that started arguing around midnight. It was an uncomfortable experience especially for the kids.

We had friends go 6 months ago and they had a similar story but it ended with police arresting at least one party in the domestic dispute. One of the staff told them it's not uncommon.

  • Came back from the GC a week ago and visited all the the theme parks. Can confirm that the monorail wasn't in operation and didn't look like it had been used in many months (ie tree growth over rail) which appeared eery. There was a new build happening there, Atlantis (?), with a new ride that wasn't in operation that day and the new rollercoaster under construction at the back. The water park is probably the best attraction there for little kids after they cycle through the 3 spongebob rides available. There was a sad looking polar bear sitting facing the wall.

I can't say anything about the accommodation as we stayed in the CBD. Don't know which would have been worse, but at least sea World is situated near Tedder ave which has a decent cafe and community feel and not the dirty Cavill Ave/touristy vibes.

It could be decent value if you're not looking to stay within the CBD and want access to all parks. Additional recommendation is to go during the school term!
