Anyone who has this machine care to comment? good?

      • I did check out reviews beforehand thanks, just thought I'd ask the Ozbargain community for reviews

        • +3

While the community is great, I'd rather avg out the online reviews, way greater opinion variety, you know?

If you're worried about its downsides, I'd focus on Negative, 1, 2 , 3 star reviews, to see if there's a pattern on what is it doing "bad", and weigh whether I'd want to risk it.

Seems like an alright little machine, almost tempted myself

I got this machine. Does the job. I don't think there's big difference in nespresso machines in terms of coffee extracting abilities.

Bought this at the beginning of the year when they were including it for free with pods purchase.

Machine was shipped with just a label stuck on the retail box, so it came beat up and water reservoir broken - so I couldn't use it if I wanted to.

Trying to get warranty has been a nightmare, they keep bouncing me between departments and they take 2-3 days to reply to emails each time…i don't even want a replacement machine, just a new water tank. As I'm waiting for all this to be sorted, the pods are getting closer to their best before date.

      Woudnt recommend

    • I’ve had both the Nespresso and this machine and I haven’t noticed a difference in the quality of coffee they pull.

I've owned this machine in the tea room of my office for 2 and half years. I bought it for around 90 dollars. I also have a Delonghi Lattissima One Nespresso coffee machine at home. Compare to the Nespresso one I have (over $200 dollars), there are two issues I need to complain about. First, the way of loading the capsule is not smooth enough, you need to apply extra force to load the capsule sometimes. Second, after you make a cup of coffee, it takes a longer time than the Nespresso machine to stop dripping coffee drops. The good thing about this machine is it has a larger container for used capsules and a larger water container than my Nespresso machine. Otherwise I think it is worth the money.

    • I have the previous model and it has been great so far.

  • Two years warranty from purchase date.

I like this machine, I've had it for about three years and I use it about 5 - 6 times a day on average (yes, I admit I'm addicted, but I can stop any time I want, yes I can, but I don't want to).

Not much to say about it really, pod goes in and coffee comes out. I've used a wide variety of pods and never had much trouble. There was one type of pod that was 100% recyclable and made out of yak skin or something that wouldn't work in this machine, but it also wouldn't work in a different machine either so not really a machine issue).

  • Mines showing up 95$

  • Father's day bundle was better imho

  • Does the machine not come with a milk frother anymore?

    • Milk frother attached to my model is not good. Turns all milk to froth. Also doesn't hold enough milk for a large coffee. Target frother still my favourite

Machine is good. We have 2. One for work and home

      • Did you try removing the spring? I believe the spring is removable, if you want less foam.

      • Remove the spring from the spinny bit

I have had this one for well over 2 years now and only have positive things to say about it. You can try variety of coffee pods from different coffee brands and will surely find the right taste and strength that you like. Right now I am using Axil coffee pods and they are slightly better than L'or but not as good as Star Bucks ones. Frothier works great as well. Overall it's a very good, reliable and easy to use/ clean machine.

I paid $160 at Myers 2 years ago, PODs in bulk of 60 works out to be around 40 cents (Costco) each and 1ltr of almond milk lasts like a week. Machine paid itself off a long time ago as I don't buy coffee outside most days now.

  • Just fyi l'or pods are shockingly poor quality. They lose their freshness way before the best before date

      Not IMO or my missus

      • Maybe you got lucky… Or I got unlucky!

    • That hasn't been my experience

  • just got delivery of this, no capsules at all in the box. also box not sealed and not packed, just the retail box with my address on it. can't rule out someone swiping them or l'or never including them.

    • Don't worry - the capsules are sent separately and will arrive soon :-)

    • You are welcome.
