Arctic Liquid Freezer II AIO Coolers: 240mm RGB $109, ARGB 280mm $129, ARGB 360mm $149 + Shipping @ PCCG

540

PCCG (also known as "that Victorian computer store that frequently over-charges on shipping") has reduced prices on some of the Arctic AIO coolers.

240mm RGB AIO $109 (Normally $139 elsewhere)
280mm Addressable RGB AIO $129 (Normally $179)
360mm Addressable RGB AIO $149 (Normally $179)

The Arctic Liquid Freezer II AIO got Gamer's Nexus award for "Best Noise-normalized thermals", although keep in mind the award was given for the 420mm version. The Cooler has a number of unusual features, specifically it has a VRM fan to help keep your motherboard VRM's cool and it comes with a Ryzen 3000 / 5000 specific offset mounting kit, which I believe helps with better die-to-coldplate contact since the chiplets on Ryzen CPU's are not located in the center.

Beware not all motherboards will support this offset kit due to VRM and component interference.

Arctic has also extended the manufacturer warranty from 2 years to 6 years (from the date of purchase). Not bad for a cooler that only costs starting from $109.

Shipping Rates

VIC $15
QLD, NSW, SA $16
WA $23

someone needs to tell these guys about sendle!

      • +4

please no, had nothing but terrible experiences with sendle

      • +4

im sorry but sendles are absolute dog shit. Took them ~15 days to deliver something that was ~1.5hr drive from me. I go out of my way to avoid ebay sellers who use sendle

  • +7

    over-charges on shipping everything

    FTFY 🤣 Well usually.

    • -1

Nah I'm a cheapskate and have bought lots of parts from them over they years, they can have good deals.

  • +2

    23$ rip

  • Its also crazy because while they are still overpriced but they are still better then they used to be (about 5 years ago) on shipping.

    • +1

Given they are exclusively online now, you'd hope they'd be better

  • +3

Thanks mate, Got the 360 version for $165 shipped.

Extremely happy as I was going to purchase the black version for $200 off amazon.

  • If the Artic 280 had 0 RPM aRGB 140 fans would have surely bought it, bought 6x 120 0 aRGB RPM Fans for rest of my case and there awesome can have them run so slow and very quiet

Overall my Artic 280 non RGB has been great even though fans run lowest RPM of 200 still a quiet setup, highly recommend this aRGB version at $129 I paid a lot more for mine

  • Wish the non-RGB 280 was on sale, why is it the odd one out?

  • +1

    No pickup options anymore?

I'm just going to resist the urge to narrate a receipt and send it to them as an audio recording.

    • any1 know a good powerpoint to pdf converter

  • I've got a Ryzen 3700X, do I need a mounting kit?
Does it come with a mounting kit ?
Is this a good price for 280mm ?

The stock wraith prism is starting to show it's age…

    • I wondered the same and instead got a Noctua U14S on a deal for 95 bux. Runs super silent and cools very well. Never have to worry about pump failing, water leaking, tiny VRM fan whining or hear any fans at all. I probably might buy these if I am building in an ITX case.

    • No you actually use your original AM4 back plate with this,.. plus comes with all the AM4 brackets/screws etc to screw into backplate and hold water block, well my non aRGB 280 did, once setup very easy to swap CPU's by removing 4 thumb screws, so fantastic setup👍

      • I am using the wraith prism, does that use the original AM4 back plate ?
So it would be as simple as removing the wraith prism (not the back plate) and attaching the 280mm ?

Or is there another back plate that came with the CPU? Which I probably have thrown away..

  • Damn,
No mention of 1700 support for my 12700k

  • PCCG: Good on shipping times, not so much on prices.

    • +1

I'm not sure on the shipping times. Great on RMA acceptance, horrible (week and a half) to go from Brisbane to VIC on their return label.

Also they've sent the return last Wednesday and still sitting as Item processed and hasn't moved.

      • Agree. Ordered components for my 2016 build from PCCG. Prices poor, shipping time average.
Amazon with their free shipping is much faster than PCCG.

    • bought a case off them once

      took forever

      came with a scratch

considering how long it took i suspect it was part of a demo build which they repackaged for me

no response post sales when I reached out to them about the scratch

MSY are better - neither are worth my time

  • Great AIO. So much quieter than my Corsair H80i. Very happy that I purchased it last time around.

    • so true (About the noise), got one (240mm RGB) on my 12600k since november and never hear anything from it .

      • Probably because it is a bit overkill for the 12600K ;p

        • Intel being power hungry monsters better to be safe than sorry and I only paid $120 inc delivery when i got it so,

    • they are great fans, bought 4 of them for a quiet build, start at 200rpm have more then enough pressure to do the job at around 600 - 800rpm

they reportedly have a coil whine around around 1200rpm but mine never get that high but i am not using an AIO/water cooler either

usually you get loud/crappy fans with AIOs, not the case here

  • Would the 280 or 360 be much better than my Noctua NH-D15 on my AMD 3900X?

Also, I've never used any kind of water-cooling before, but if it were to leak, do they replace other components in your system if they were to be damaged in said leak?

    • NH-D15 is like 8 years old but it's still one of the best air coolers in the market.

It's more of a side-grade than an upgrade.

      • Thanks for the reply. I knew it was good on older CPUs like mine, but I should have also asked, how do these newer watercoolers handle newer CPUs compared to the NH-D15. For example, if I were to get a 12900K, would the 280 or 360 do a much better job of keeping it cooled compared to the Noctua?

        • You will have to hunt around to find people talking about their experiences, for gaming in 2022 I would be surprised if a D15 wasn't up to the task on a 12900K. However if you are going to regularly load up all the cores for encoding or whatever else would do that then depending on the air flow in your case the 12900K will get pretty toasty. Hardware unboxed reviewed the 12900K with a 280mm coarsair AIO and core temps were getting up to 100C with all core loads. The other thing people have been doing is limiting the TDP in the bios to keep temps down.

          • @Loopyloop: Thanks. I will have a look at that video.

I'm still deciding on whether or not to just upgrade to a 5900K or go back to Intel and try out a 12900K as Intel finally have something good price/performance wise. If going Intel, I didn't think I had the cooling for that CPU (I'd rather keep the NH-D15 as I don't like the idea/risk of a water cooler leaking). I'm not looking to do this right away (maybe in the next 6 months), so not sure. Maybe cost wise it'd be better just to get the 5900X so I don't have to change Motherboards too.

With water cooling, do you get warranty if it leaks and damages other components? I'm mostly worried about my graphics card as I've never had something as expensive as the 6900XT I have now. I couldn't afford the hit if that was damaged due to a water leak and you don't get warranty from the watercooler company.

  • +1

don't know about the AIO but those fans are fantastic

    really quiet

    • Agreed. I am a RGB junkie but got one Arctic fan(non RGB) for rear exhaust and am so impressed!

Seriously considering buying the 360mm AIO from this deal.
