The place would end up swarming with drones. In that regard I can understand the principle behind the rules.
I agree that it is very limiting if your primary reason for buying is to do panoramic footage of the most beautiful places on earth. I guess now we just have to be extra creative and find the hidden gems where there are no fun police.

Lovely. Except the google play store doesn't have the required app and sideloading did not work on my moto z2. Boo.
If you can go for the mini2 do it, much better range and wind resistance, this one is very good though, perfect 1st drone, you'll be impressed.

Not just the range. It's generally more reliable/stronger even within the same 4km range. This makes a difference when flying near trees or water bodies (which are additional resistance to transmission).
For stills, the RAW, panorama and optical zoom capabilities are enticing capabilities of the Mini 2.
The Mini SE is really well priced though.
