I dont think its the 4k version but still a decent price as else where its around $160 plus postage.
Be careful never to buy these 2nd hand unless you have confirmed its an unlocked retail box (the free isp versions are locked down).

Correct.
Possibly $94 for those with eBay Plus from Fetch eBay store:
Why wouldn't you buy this instead https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/foxtel-now-box-netflix-compatib…
or for $89 get a 4K player https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07NZD7JP3/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp…
Why would you buy a Xiaomi when there's Fire TV and Google TV for same (or even lower) price.
Yep, I got a Fire TV 4K stick for $52 on sale.
Good if all you are doing is trying to turn a dumb TV into a smart TV.
Although the Fetch TV box is great if you want to combine subscription channels and Freeview all into the one guide/menu, so it depends on why you really want one, if it's just for TV streaming apps, then I'd go with Fire TV or Google TV sticks.
Because I can play Goat Simulator on the Xiaomi with a gamepad :)
@Quarn: So can any Android TV device, including these better one.
Because…
A) You might not want Foxtel
B) Foxtel Now is available on just about every device as an app anyway, Fetch TV is not.
C) You want channels that are on Fetch TV
D) Fetch TV is a cheaper option for subscription channels and may offer all you need.
E) Fetch TV subscription allows for up to 3 devices, Foxtel Now is up to 2 devices.
Of course, if you don't intend on using the Foxtel Now or Fetch TV boxes for subscription channel services, there are far better options around.
Just some ideas.
I'm not sure if this is the new 4k mini version, but if it is the older non-4k one (that I've got), just be aware it is currently laggy as all hell.
Never used to be as bad as it is currently, I think last few updates really screwed it up.
I hate updating old devices for this very reason. Lots of pain for very little gain.
And the updates weren't even optional, they push it thru with no option of opting out.
Appreciate your feedback!
I will be returning it if laggy as i have the mighty and know how it should normally respond, would the fetch store accept that or should i cancel my order?
I hate the FetchTV. Only reason for us to get it as it targets channels to communities (Indian and Asian). So, you can only get certain channels through this fetch tv.
Not worth it for anything else as their hardware is really overpriced.
Would love to know of alternatives for the Indian channels especially.
The venerable VodafoneTV has served me well but it's starting to show its age.. wish there was a good replacement/alternative product :(
What issues are you having with the VTV? Mine still runs fine. Just need to make sure you are not running out of memory as that makes it laggy. I just delete app cache once in a while and remove any unused apps.
Mind you, I also have a Xiaomi Mi Box and the new Google Chromecast with Google TV, and both are better than the VTV. The GCwGTV is the newest and definitely has the nicest and smoothest OS, but it has no USB inputs for playing movies off HDD or USB sticks, so I have just purchased a USB C hub to solve that issue.
I have Fetch Mighty thru Optus, if I buy this do I have to pay additional fee?
at the bottom; says
These boxes cannot be combined on accounts with boxes supplied by broadband or phone providers.
Thanks
What's the point of buying this box?
the Mini wont record as a stand alone will it? It only works if you have the fetch Mighty? Is my understating right here?
