        So, it's doesn't stop your laptop from being stolen, it just protects your data from being seen by anyone who steals your laptop. It's mis-named in a way that makes it sound like more than it is.

        Couldn't you achieve the same result (data protection), for free, by encrypting your hard drive? With truecrypt, or microsoft's bitlocker which included for free in the business versions of windows 7?

        In stores there's stickers up etc. Give them a call tomorrow and check. I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure it was extended.

      I was at HN at Highpoint last night and the they had the posters up and confirmed by a guy wearing a tie that the $ 300 Cash Back was extended till this weekend. I asked about the Price of the Acer S3, that was $788 last week and what do you know…….it is now $ 1288 before Cash Back…..may be worth your while to check other stores.

  Make sure you try typing on the keyboard. Lots of people complain about it (see Amazon reviews) and I did not manage to type more than 3 words without keys just not working (I pressed them but the characters did not make it to the screen). I am so glad I tried it out in store and did not buy.

  The UX21 - i3 was $899 before cashback at my local HN yesterday.
  If you can live with a 64GB SSD $599 after cashback is a bargain.

  Also use something like "prey" for remote locking / deletion etc of your laptop or android device.
