For tracking success, ensure you disable 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc) and VPNs, close any additional browser tabs, and don't click away to other sites looking for codes etc after clicking from Cashrewards as tracking will be lost. Try our improved iOS/Android mobile app for great tracking results. And don't forget to refer-a-friend - tip: add your code to OzB’s randomiser. Make sure you're subscribed to our newsletter so you don't miss out on all the hot deals coming up this month. Use our Help Centre & Contact form here for any questions or issues.

    Thank you Mr. TA
    Happy Cashrewards Day :)

  • +1

    Great stuff. Thanks Tightarse.

  • +24

Fantastic, but I am so tired to pursue with you guys for weeks any cashback bigger than $5 that I've completely given up on Cashrewards. Just my feedback.

    • +6

      Hi Laziofogna,
If you have any concerns at all, feel free to PM me and I can help get to the bottom of why tracking may be failing for you.
Thank you and have a lovely day.
      minita

      • +10

Tracking is not failing. That's exactly what I have been fed all the time. Very small, 1 or 2 dollars let alone 30 cents never fail tracking. It's your tactics, fine. I just said I got it and pulled out. A $10 Chemist Warehouse needed months and heaps of emails to be credited.

        • +9

Chemist Warehouse and cashrewards just dont work. I'm with you there. PAIN.

          • +1

@President Bartlett: Never had issues with Chemist Warehouse and CR

          • @President Bartlett: Hi - hope you are well. Please make a Chemist Warehouse purchase (of any value) via the CR App using 4G/5G (turn wifi off). If it doesn't track, I will credit your acct by $5. Your statement about it not working could be related to a myriad of plugins that you may have on your desktop browser (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, VPN, malware), or may even be an issue with your wifi firewall etc. Cheers.

          • +6

@President Bartlett: Add Liqourland to that list along with Lenovo. Still fighting over the Black Friday sale!

I'm waiting for my final purchases to be cleared and then pulling the plug on CR.

          • +2

@President Bartlett: Same happened with Dell for a laptop and Australia Post when I bought a mobile. They found any kind of excuse. They paid at the end, but after months.

            • +6

@Laziofogna: Totally agree…they want make us look bad by assuming we didn't follow their steps, even though we've been using for years.

And yes, they paid at the end, but because they want to look good and saying it comes from their pocket.

In saying that, I still prefer CR rather than SB

        • Had no issues with CR - very honorable and great to deal with. Thousands claimed.

    • +12

Likewise. I've all but given up on the cashback malarkey. The entire system is designed to be so convoluted that tracking previous transactions is tedious unless you record every detail. e.g. I just received an email from the other mob indicating cashback has been confirmed but now I have to try and work out if the bonus offer has also been approved as it's not showing in the transaction list and I know I wouldn't have made the purchase without the bonus. It's time consuming and not worth the hassle.

      • Nothing a spreadsheet or reminders on OzBargain can’t help with.

        • +8

I do the same thing too but I appreciate the principle that for the average consumer this should be a simple to use service without the need to go out of your way to make sure everything worked right.

        • +7

I already do both the spreadsheet and reminder but neither of these make the problem go away, they just prove to yourself that the cashback is missing and you must now waste your time trying to remedy the situation. Like I said, it's not worth the hassle.

          • @bongom: I don't know what you're doing wrong. I'd say >98% of my claims are approved. I usually use the iOS app but occasionally use a browser at work with no ad-blockers.

    • +1

yep. just had to do this for a $16 cashback.

they tried to blame me, for not clicking the tracking link, for using an adblocker or for doing "too many other things" on the site.

I literally clicked the link, purchased, boom. done.

They 100% have it built into their business model to not register every purchase. I work with these types trackers/websites from a product management perspective, they don't fail this much unless it's by design.

  • Been waiting for all the VPNs to go on cashback!

    • +1

Looking at getting a VPN. Which one ? Are they all fairly similar? Or are there 1 or 2 that are better than the others?

      • +1

I've used NordVPN in the past but the main issue for me is 6 device limit.

Keen to try out the competitors offerings

        • Thanks. I'll get it and get cheap You Tube premium and other stuff.

        • I'm on NordVPN and looking to renew, but it looks like the cashback is only for new customers. Not sure how CR and NordVPN defines 'new customer' so might be safer to just go with a different provider.

Keen to hear your thoughts on PureVPN or SurfShark.

          • +4

@fruitysalad: Hi. A new customer is defined by NordVPN & Surfshark. Simply use a new email address at their end, the same Cashrewards account as always, and you're good to go. Please remember to click 'Shop Now' or 'Shop Offer' and buy. Don't go clicking to other sites and certainly don't use any 3rd party plugins etc. Best bet is to use the Cashrewards mobile app on 4G/5G as this eliminates any potential issues with WiFi/router firewalls and the like. Tracking for NordVPN & Surfshark typically takes 1-4 hours. And remember you have the safety of their money back guarantee. All the best, and have a great day!

            • @tightarse: I just purchased via cashrewards, but I think I had a nordvpn account already (never purchased it though). Does that make it void? Am I going to have to cancel and do it again with a new email?

              • @PropertyPig: If it hasn't tracked in a few hours, you'll know it's not ok lol. The beauty of these VPN providers is that they have a no questions asked refund policy for the first 30 days, so you won't be out of pocket. Simply use a different email address, and purchase via the CR app :)

                • @tightarse: It turns out years ago i did purchase something from them. Now they are refusing to give me a refund ($145)! If the cashback doesnt track im out of pocket. Is there anyway to fix this? Argh i wish i had created a new account. I just saw my cashback is pending…Any chance you know if it will be approved? I dont want to the idiot who paid full price for nordvpn

        • +3

Need to buy another 5 devices? 😂

      • Surfshark I purchased on a high cashback offer the other year - I've found it to work really well. Not a major difference in speed between using and not using it. Nord I have heard good things about as well.

Pure seems a little questionable as well as not being one I've really heard of before, so I would probably pick between the other two. Read reviews and look through their feature sets to determine which one works best for your needs.

      • I got purevpn with shopback cashback 120%. Tracked and paid.

If not in a rush maybe wait for boosted cashback like that?

    • What is the tip again to minimise overall cost? Is it to pay in USD?

      • Change your region to avoid GST, for nordvpn, look through past deals

        • Beware that they quote in USD and convert to AUD only after you are charged. Regardless of where you sign up.

        • Edit: Disregard question.

    ShopBack > Cashrewards :)

    • +2

      Shopback is unreliable!!

    • +6

Both have their respective days and offers to win people over so not pitting one against the other but definitely have more confirmed cashback from Shopback.

      • +1

I’ve had all my CR confirmed and paid but with SB, some I had to manually put in a claim and it stays pending for months. I still have 3 pending from October for hotels!! I guess my bitter experience with SB justifies my comment. I rather get less cash back than get nothing at all or waste time chasing it up!

      • Yeah, I'm finding pretty similar reliability comparing the too. But my experience has been Shopback > Cashrewards because of better deals.

    • +6

not to mention ShopBack had that huge data breach

  • +2

Impressive list but either don't shop at most of these or can wait for larger cashback offers

  • +4

Wow that Target 25% Cashback deal is disappointing

Softgoods (Apparel, Soft Home, etc) 25%
Hardgoods (Home, Electrical, Toys, etc) 0.6%

  • +12

PSA: Booking.com price jacks when you use cashrewards. If you login normally, you end up with the same price as going through CR, but then you need to wait for CR to provide you the cashback.

    • Do you have screen shots for this? My experience with SB and CR through booking.com, Agoda etc has been legit cashback without a price jack

      • I always cross check booking.com, and if I’m logged into my account when I click through, prices are the same.

      • My experience with booking travels, e.g. booking.com, expedia are pretty bad with both SB and CR esp. since pandemic….never honoured their cashback, of course always blame me. Never had issues before pandemic.

    • +1

      Always best to check offers!

Found no pricejacking when viewed through CR / SB with Booking.com & Expedia for holiday 2 weeks ago.

But Expedia price was 5% higher than Booking.com or direct with accommodation.
And Expedia gave no refund on first night if cancel - others had same day cancellation.

SB promoted 16% cashback with Expedia, so used that. But tracked at previous rate of 6%. Many emails later, referred to Expedia. Not worth the bother! Won't do that again.

Found I got a better deal direct with accommodation by asking, which offered 10% off advertised price! Much better than bothering & long wait with cashback!!

    • when I did a booking for booking.com via cashrewards, they said fraud and closed my account and cancelled my booking. They didn't even tell me that they cancelled it. Almost was without a holiday at Christmas/New Year because I only noticed the funds going back to my credit card 2 weeks later and the place by then was all booked out. Lucky for me that the holiday park had a cancellation and I was able to book direct through the holiday park but never got my cash rewards because of the mess up by booking.com.

    • definitely price jack on booking.com, can confirm for multiple accommodation options that i can get for the same price or cheaper without clicking through CR or using the app
      100% dodgy

The Ray Ban cash back will stack well with the 50% off sale they’ve got going on. Thanks TA

    • Which1 to buy?

  • Does fapple cashback work with edu store?

  • Boozebud twice? 20% and 30%?

    • Hi kickling,
That's correct. Each has different dates.
      minita

      • Is BoozeBud new customers ONLY as per T & C?

  • Groupon also looks to be upsized, but isn't on the list. Up to 17%.

    • Hi b-radicool,
      Done now, thanks. : )

  • Cheers TA. Any chance of adding "MMFSAVE20" to the list of eligible promocodes for the First Choice Deal?

      Hi v8james,
We had that code on CR previously, but the offer ended Tuesday I believe.

      • Thank you

Keeping an eye out for petrol station gift cards.

    • +1

You're not going to get many "gifts" from petrol stations right now

  • Petbarn is only upsized on certain products… otherwise it is standard 2.5%

    Nosh project 10% 10%
Advance Pet Food, Simparica TRIO, NexGard SPECTRA, Revolution PLUS, SavourLife 5% 5%
All Other Pet Food & Supplies 2.5% 2.5%

Correct, that's why it shows the 'up to' symbol in the table : )

Excellent work o' sphincter of tightness.

  • The Uber Eats driver $500, does that stack with their current $750 offer?

    • +1

      Hi krazek,
Sure does. Please see the offer at the base of this link https://www.cashrewards.com.au/uber-eats-global-delivery
      thanks,
      minita

      • So $750 + $500 ?

The $750 is mentioned on the Cashrewards site, but has no mention in the Uber Eats site?

        • Is the $500 too good to be true? Complete one delivery? What's stopping you just ordering from your partners phone and 'doing' the delivery and then never touching the app again?
edit - Have to pay for Police check - $35 which can take up to 2 weeks. Doubt the hassle of trying to get the money you are owed would be worth it.

  • Not upsizing for Rebel?

  • +4

    No EBAY? :(

  • I have a question in regards to Uber eats if someone can help me, say a new Uber eats customer place an order and will get up to $15 cash back, but is there a minimum order amount? Same for an existing client to get the $3 cashback, minimum order amount as well? Also, does it matter if it is deliver or picked up order?

    • There's no minimum order amount required for Uber Eats for new or existing users :)

Pickup or delivery have both been fine for me in the past for cashback also.

      • Awesome, thanks a lot!

  • +1

No Myer. Good. Lol I just bought something yesterday

  • 4% good guys, isn't that the normal rate?

    • Hi tango1,
It's normally up to 3% with three tiers, so this is a flat 4% across the board. : )
      enjoy!
      minita

      • @minita

Does the 4% cash back stack with the code TAKE10? On the cash rewards website I see this for The Good Guys: "Expires: Mar 11, 2022, 11:59:00 PM. 10% off a huge range. Coupon: Not Required".

        • Hi tango1,
yes, As the code is listed on Cashrewards, it will stack.
          thanks!

  • +2

feels like the upsized cashbacks arent as big as the usual deals….

  • Thanks.

Boozebud also came up as free shipping (same day or next day!) with spend over $100. Great deal.

  • have iconic moved away from decent cashback? haven't seen a good one in a while.

    • Best we can do today is 8% uncapped via ANZ Max. Sorry :)

  • The Iconic is upsized to 8% (with Max) from 4% as well

  • Some excellent boosts here, thanks TA.

  • How does the Kogan one work with credits either from Credits (e.g. from past refunds) or from Gift Cards (which also kinda work like credits loaded into the account, like amazon's)?

    • +1

      Hi xrailgun,
Please note Kogan cashback is for new customers only.
      Thanks!

  • +1

Hm. Target hardgoods is 0.6% :/

    • Really, I thought everything is 25%

  • +1

Good deal. but i dont need anything from these retailers sorry.

  • Myer not in the list? Which one best to buy perfume?

  • do you reckon i should buy buy apple via cashrewards + education store or AOC?
Need to buy a new macbook soon…

  • Liquorland is showing 3% cashback. Can you please fix?

    • My bad, starts tomorrow.

  • With Oodie, they're having a sale (and the sale is listed in Cashrewards) but it requires putting in a code, and the code is NOT listed on CR. Will cashback still apply? Code is SUMMER.
