I am not familiar with this product, but I would be surprised if it offered the functionality you describe.
really depends on how much portability you need. It's over twice as heavy and probably takes more power then specifically designed portable monitors however you would get a better screen I assume (haven't checked the specific specs). It's really a more easily tranportable monitor, not a portable one.
You would need buy a usb-c hub to do what you are saying.
Need something to generate the picture and send to it …..so not a standalone device ……….15.6" IPS is appealing …..
Not sure if it would be good because I have nothing to compare it to. 😅
I wouldn't recommend it as a portable monitor though, the included cable is a little jumbly and needs like atleast 2 usb powers to power it, I mean sure it can be done but there's probably better options for just that functionality alone.
I initially bought it 2 years ago (I think it came to around $440, decent deal at the time) just as a second monitor and also to do image editing further down the line, that line never came.. 😅
I used it sparingly as a second monitor, have actually picked up a cheap ebgames "portable" monitor for like $120 about a year ago to replace it for that function. (Note second monitor brand is GAEMON, weighs like a feather and is only used for like background youtube videos/podcasts or spotify.)
I should try and find that furthered line and put the actual thing the use..
EDIT: Big whoopsie, I misread the product title. My write-up was in reference to the XP-Pen 15.6 Pro model.
How good or bad is the included stand with the XP-Pen 15.6 Pro?
Most reviews say the stand would be much better if adjustable.
This is the one you get, it's JUNK.. :D It probably cost them 10c to produce.
I can't complain though because I don't take it the tablet/stand here and there and I have other more solid phone/tablet stands thanks to OzB sales.. xD
I forgot where mine was but realised it's being used to prop up a spare keyboard to my side that doesn't get used.
Edit: On a side note, I remember reading reviews when I first bought that the stand can collapse at times, either not setting it out properly or maybe adding too much pressure. But that didn't seem like a concern of mine at the time.
I thought about getting one of these but ended up getting a tab s7 fe for my friends daughter as she wanted to get into drawing.
The Artist Pro 15.6 also has $100 off. $499 down to $399
would this also be good as portable monitor? I assume using the right dongle it can be connected to a single USB-C port?
