[PC, Steam] Best of Boomer Shooters Bundle (8 Games, 2 Coupons) $16.67 @ Humble Bundle

330

Old school inspired, first person shooter games.
No zoomers, you don't get to shoot boomers.

Getting it for at least Dusk and Amid Evil myself.

Other bundle tiers are not listed because they are not bargains!

Game codes - redeemable on Steam:
Dusk - 97% Positive on Steam
Amid Evil - 95% Positive on Steam, Demo Available
Ion Fury - 94% Positive on Steam
Dread Templar - 94% Positive on Steam, Early Access
HROT - 98% Positive on Steam, Early Access
Hedon Bloodrite - 95% Positive on Steam, Demo Available
Project Warlock - 88% Positive on Steam, Demo Available
Hellbound - 72% Positive on Steam

Game coupons - redeemable on Humble Store for discount on future purchase:
25% Off Ultrakill - COUPON FOR DISCOUNT ONLY IN HUMBLE STORE!
10% Off Prodeus - COUPON FOR DISCOUNT ONLY IN HUMBLE STORE!

My coupons are "Valid until Apr 8, 2022, 10:59:59 AM".
It does not appear to stack with Humble Choice subscriber discount - see excerpt from coupon terms and conditions:
"Single use coupon. Coupon redeemable for (25|10)% off (Ultrakill|Prodeus) in the Humble Store in the Humble Store. This coupon may not be combined with other identical coupons in the same transaction, and may not be combined with other Humble Bundle coupons. Coupon may not be combined with any subscriber discounts."

Charity information:
This bundle supports AbleGamers and Wikimedia Foundation, Inc..
I think you can change the later to a different charity.
You can adjust the split between the publishers (to zero), charity (to zero) and the store. I would recommend looking at the default splits.

Make sure you select the bundle price of $16.67 so you don't spend any more than you need to (unless you want to pay/donate more)

The wait for Ion Fury has paid off!

  • +2

Dusk is an absolute gem. The others like Amid Evil, Ion Fury and Project Warlock are worth it for this deal alone.

  • +3

Humble Bundle has been really good of late. Hopefully they can keep this up going forward.

… I just wish it's not called boomer shooter

    • +4

Gen X Shooter would be more appropriate?

      • +12

Call them what they are: retro shooter.

It sounds better and classier too

Insta buy from me 6/8 wishlisted games and only reason not 8/8 is i own the other 2.

Killer line up of games. Already have most so passing but great value.

  • +3

    Terrible name

  • +6

If anyone is interested in changing one of the two default charities on this game bundle - Australia for UNHCR - to a different charity that is providing on-the-ground humanitarian aid efforts to the victims of the war in Ukraine, please note that these two charities: Ukrainian Red Cross and Polish Red Cross - do not seem to be selectable using Humble Bundle's Change charity button / search engine at this time.

Nonetheless, here are a few suggestions I had found online that are selectable:

Bungie's tweet suggests three organizations: Direct Relief, Voices of Children, and International Rescue Committee

IGN mentioned another three organizations: Save the Children, UNICEF, Project HOPE

RockPaperShotgun also suggested International Rescue Committee, as well as Doctors Without Borders

Lot of angst regarding the name - don't worry they aren't coming for your negatively geared investment properties.

    • +2

The problem with the name is that it kinda alienates certain demographic of people from wanting to purchase the bundle for a trivial reason which could be easily avoided, therefore affecting the amount of charity.

At least that's my two cents about it and also by no means I'm saying this bundle is crap. Heck, this is absolutely amazing bundle in my book, almost everything in here is amazing gems if not all of them.

      Inb4 OK boomer

Is the reason why you are not upvoting an "absolutely amazing bundle" also "trivial" and potentially (at a stretch also) affecting the amount for charity?

I think it is a fun name despite me sometimes raging about the misapplication of the term boomer these days.

        • +1

Nah that's just me being forgetful, thanks for the reminder.

  • That 30 year old boomer that still plays shooters other than Fortnite.

  • Bought this bundle as soon as I saw it, and I didn't have any of the games either!

  • at roughly $2 a game this is a no brain buy for me.. thanks OP this is great value and I only own 1 out of 8 but can still give the spare away

  • How many of these games have campaign co-op? Want to recapture some of the DN3D 56k modem days with mates.

    • Looks like none.

      • Damn :(
        Still bought though :)
