Hi all,

I stumbled across this while looking for a hard drive. Seemed a good deal, so I thought I'd post it if anyone is interested. RRP is around $560 at various retailers.

  Just be aware that they are SAS drives … not SATA.
  Utlrastar are great drives, wish they were sata thou .. got my hopes up when i saw the post

    Just add to the comment. SAS drives will not work on PC or NAS which is using SATA controllers.

        Probably not directly as the last line in its' description states -

        "Can not connect SAS hard disk to general SATA interface of mainboard"

    Pity there is not a SATA version.

    Ultrastar drives have great stats for reliability.
