  This is one of the suck full mandatory features on xbox consoles. Main reason I did not get a XBX or XBS.

    Expandable storage on consoles is definitely not a mandatory feature, especially when you can remote download games and most internet plans being unlimited data usage. Also the proprietary storage is only necessary when using it to play the next gen games, and you can just plug in a usb SSD drive.

  Looks like you can also just add one of the items from the list of options to get the 12 percent off instead of an additional drive if you can find something you need/want.
